Melody is washing up in the bathroom.
Iris Harris's pajamas are in the bedroom, and she really doesn't want to go back for them. She walks over and sits on the sofa in the guest room, closing her eyes and spacing out.
In her mind, the pictures sent by Emily Dormer keep playing back and forth.
The more Iris thinks, the more upset she feels, sensing her tears are about to fall uncontrollably. She stands up from the sofa, opens the window to take a deep breath of cold air.
Outside, the most chaotic moments have passed, the night is as cool as water, just like her life. The most prosperous and happy times have just ended; at this moment, not even a trace of warmth is left for her.
Melody comes out wearing pink plush pajamas, her hair dripping, and she looks soft and gentle. Seeing Iris standing by the window, she is startled, "Sis, is something wrong?"
Iris turns around and smiles, "I'm sleeping with you tonight. We haven't seen each other for a long time, how about we chat?"
