Ning Wan hadn't pulled back her hand yet. Just as Ning Yan'er was speaking, she raised her hand and slapped Ning Yan'er hard across the face.
She didn't hold back at all, using all her strength, and with the force of the slap, Ning Yan'er staggered to the side, catching herself against the wall.
"Yan'er…" Ning Yan'er's mother screamed, quickly rushing to Yan'er's side, looking at her with concern. Seeing the clear handprint on Ning Yan'er's face, anger boiled up inside her. She turned to Ning Wan, her eyes full of rage as if she wanted to swallow her whole, her voice sharp and piercing, "Ning Wan, how dare you hit my daughter? Who gave you the courage to slap her? You're out of line."
Yet Ning Wan was unafraid, meeting Ning Yan'er's mother's gaze directly, speaking each word clearly, "Your daughter deserved it. She spoke without thinking."
