The first thing I noticed when my eyes opened was warmth .
My sleepy brain couldn't make out why something was wrapped around my waist .
I rubbed my eyes, I looked beside and Julie was snuggled upon me in her sleep, she held unto me like I was going to run away .
Her face was buried against my shoulder, her breathing was slow and even .
I stayed perfectly still.
Not because I was afraid of waking her but because I wanted to hold her longer .
I didn't want this moment to end.
I carefully reached for my phone on the nightstand, and the time read 9:14 p.m.
"We really slept through the evening " I whispered to my self .
As though she'd heard me,Julie moved .
Her eyes slowly opened.
She stared at me like she was lost . I cupped her chin and smiled at her .
She smiled back .
"How long have I been up " she finally speaks while sitting up .
" long " I smiled
" what time is it ?" She asked . While stretching and yawning.
" it's just after 9" I said
Her eyes widened "What?"
I showed her my phone screen.
And she entered serious mode .
" I should probably get going " she says,
" why?" I asked trying to be so oblivious.
"I have work tomorrow " she replies sharply.
"So do I" I say and she eyes me.
She ran a hand through her messy hair.
" if I leave now I'll have enough time to get home , prepare for tomorrow and sleep " she says sounding so desperate to leave .
" do you really want to leave me all alone here , I'll be sad and lonely without you " I say making a sad face.
" I don't want to leave you ,but "
"I probably should."
She says unapologetically.
" Stay" I told her, while grabbing her hands in mine and rubbing it softly.
" please " I begged.
" I didn't prepare to sleep over, I didn't come with change of clothes " she says.
She sounded reasonable. You still ain't leaving my side .
"Wait" I said while standing up and moving back slowly.
"What?" She asked, her eyes following me.
Before she could ask another question,I took off and disappeared into the closet .
I opened one of the wardrobe and took out shopping bags . Perfect .
At least I'll try convincing her with it .
I carried the bags to the bedroom and handed it over to Julie.
" what's this ?" Julie asked , he eyes scanning the bag with curiousity
"Open and see for yourself " I nudged
She opened the bag and brought out to dresses and a bag .
"Is this for me?" She asked .
" yeah, I wanted to give it to you later , but figures I could use the opportunity " I said with a wide grin.
"You didn't really have to do this " she says pulling me closer to where she sat .
" I wanted to" I say tucking a hair behind her ear.
"So you're not trying to bribe me to stay ? " I said while smiling and holding her hands still on my cheeks.
" maybe I am " I say, and we both laugh.
"Thank you " she says , and planted a kiss on my lips, and continues admiring what I gave her .
" they are beautiful "she smiles
"So…" I leaned closer to her , and she blushes.
"You'll stay" I said while touching her softly on her arm.
" So that's your game huh?" She smirks.
" what game?" I asked right back
"You shower me with gifts so I don't leave"
" I just want to spend more ours with you baby " I say and hugged her.
She smiled .
Julie decided to shower and I gave her pajamas to change into, she game back to bed and we kept telling stories and laughing for hours till we fell asleep in each other's arms.
