When she just woke up, the first thing she saw was his face, making her feel as if she had returned to six years ago.
"I... I just had a nightmare," Mabel Quinn murmured, finally letting out a long sigh.
Kyle Kinston's hand, holding a tissue, had been suspended in mid-air until now. He reached out to Mabel Quinn again, helping her wipe the thin sweat on her forehead.
"Did you dream about something from six years ago?" he asked.
She froze, suddenly unsure of what to say.
But her reaction was enough for him to know he had guessed right. "Was it about six years ago when I forced you to have an abortion, or the shipwreck you experienced?" he continued to ask.
She looked at him in astonishment, and he gave a self-deprecating smile, "It seems I've guessed correctly again."
"It's all in the past," she said, but somehow, she had such a dream again. Could it be because tonight they were in the same room, and his hand had been holding hers the whole time?
