The weather was fairly warm, a dead body was wrapped in front of the household mansion of Warris as everyone carried on with their activities as if blind to it.
No one spoke, no one mourned, just silence. Trying not to irritate Lord Warris further.
The new replacement arrived to attend to the junior Lord of the house.
How would he cover this up in a kingdom where news spread quicker than the flu and enemies lurked in their midst, as friends, families or allies.
If word got out, they would feel Lord Warris had beat his servant to death and paint his reputation as an evil, unforgivable noble to his servants.
He also could not accuse anyone as this servant had died choking on the poison in his own secret bastard son's food.
Now if this servant had tried to kill his son, she would not have eaten the food, so it was very possible that someone from outside had tried to poison him.
