Daniel held his breath, stammering as he was about to explain, but then he saw the butler's expression suddenly soften when he looked at his stomach.
The butler smiled and said gently yet sincerely: "So you're pregnant? It's fine. Pregnant men always have unstable emotions."
He narrowed his eyes, as if granting mercy, and said: "But only this time. If there's a next time, even if you are pregnant, you will still have to receive proper punishment."
After saying that, he immediately turned and walked up the stairs without any hesitation. Clearly, he had rushed here because of Daniel's scream; it was hard to imagine just how much the master of this castle hated noise.
Daniel froze completely, feeling it becoming hard to breathe. He subconsciously retorted: "No, I'm not pregnant..."
Daniel wanted to shout toward the butler's back, but remembering his earlier words, he didn't dare. He was afraid he would die even faster.
