Liam finally reached the hotel, the convoy of black SUVs pulling up smoothly in front of the towering entrance. The building was a massive skyscraper that stretched high into the evening sky, its glass exterior reflecting the city lights like a giant mirror.
Vanessa leaned forward in her seat, eyes wide as she stared up through the window. "We get to stay in the penthouse?" she asked excitedly, already imagining the breathtaking view of the city skyline from that height. She could practically see herself standing by floor-to-ceiling windows, drink in hand, looking down at everything below.
Liam killed the engine and gave her a flat look. "Fuck no. I'm already there."
Vanessa's excitement dropped instantly. "What?"
"You guys can take rooms on the floor below," he said casually, stepping out of the car.
Vanessa rolled her eyes dramatically as she climbed out after him, muttering something under her breath about stingy men.
