Evan, sitting down on a wooden chair and desk seems to be waiting for something, and while waiting, something constantly goes over his mind

These words keep repeating in his head over and over

Repeating again and again, like a roller coaster that was designed to be close to unsafe but he was forced to go on
Looping over and over in his mind.
The Truth of his situation, the REAL truth, though still unbelieveable, is however far less worse than being dead...
Still, Evan goes on about it, in such a tone filled with disbelief and confusion, but he gets interrupted by...
Amelia: "Here you go!, it's still hot so be careful!"
In a welcoming and kind manner, this worlds amelia hands him over a newly brewd cup of tea.
Green tea, matter of fact, his favorite.
Evan felt that, even if he was still a bit jaded, that he should atleast show some consideration.
After all, after how he acted earlier in the day he ends up feeling a bit guilty for just dismissing amelia about her trying to help him.
The idea of dismissing someone because he wasn't aware enough of people's feelings...
He can't help but feel like he felt this before...
It was from that one time how he once tried to make friends with the quiet kid in the class, only for later that kid to feel like evan was showing him only pity
And also he was really just embarrased thinking that he died and shouting like a maniac, causing a big scene
Looking back on that, he starts to go red, it was like how you looked back on something as you did as a kid, only to feel shame
Nonetheless, he still returns his gratidude to amelia for going out of her way to take him in her house and making him food
Evan: " T-thank you....uhh...A-Amelia?"
Evan, despite still not being sure of the situation, still believed in his gut that everything this worlds amelia explained to him was true, so therefore he wanted to be grateful to her
Amelia lights up with a smile to his response, which contrasted quite a bit with how she first entered the room with a mixed expression.
I guess seeing that evan was getting better made her feel at ease
Amelia: "i-its really not an issue!...and ehh, also!, y-you don't have to call me that if you're not c-comfortable!, after all!, knowing that this world is set 15 years in the future compared to yours must mean that there must be some difference between your amelia and me !"
Amelia after saying this half hazzardly and clumsely, to almost correct a point that she now retrospectively regretted making, turns to a more mixed look, like the one she started with...
Amelia: "Evan...it's just that..."

Amelia begins to grasp her blue dress by her lap as she continues with a more pained expression

She stops with a sharp Tone and looks away but the next second takes a deep breath and continues

Amelia: "I at first couldn't believe it...but I thought that...if there is a chance that it's true!...that...it isn't all over!...that you weren't gone!

But...I thought...that with how you're situation was, that I just couldn't think about my own selfish emotions!

Tears started to form on amelias face with her grasping her dress even more, so much so that it started to slowly put wrinkles in her perfectly shaped dress
Evan felt like he couldn't let this continue
Despite not fully knowing the differences in this world compared to his own
He atleast knew one thing
She was someone who helped him, and held him
Evan: "Amelia..."
Evan knew what he had to do, even if she's different, even if she's 15 years older

Amelia who helped him..
So it was time to return her kindess
Amelia: "im s-sorry...Im making it about myself a-again!"
Evan gets up by sliding his chair back and goes over to do something he felt like he had to do...
He hugs her
Amelia: "E-Evan!?..."
Evan: "Even if you guys aren't entirely the same, im sure you're both as equally wonderful...
I mean after all! You guys are alternate versions of the same person, so therefore there must be some overlap!
I mean you helped me!, You were kind to me!
That already proves that you are the Amelia I know"
Amelia: "E-evan..."
Evans attempt at cheering up Amelia seemed to have worked, but there was still one thing he had to tell her
Evan : "So whatever it is, I want to help, I want to be there for you just like how you were there for me
I want to live up to your Evans expectations and be there for you like he was so..."
Amelia now with tears in her eyes and looking like he just washed all her worries away, felt like she heard those words before
It was when she was saying those exact words after telling him who she was earlier this day
Evan released his hug and gave Amelia a determined look
Amelia: "t-thank you e-evan...I appreciate it... alot"
Amelia after Evan released her from their hug slowly tilted her in a way so that Evan couldn't see her tears because she didn't wanna make him worry too much now
However she still did one thing, which was turn to him as she wiped her tears and gave a warm smile of gratitude
Seeing this worlds amelia smile, felt like Evans heart Was getting stronger
He however started to think to himself how he really didn't know how to view her
He loved his worlds amelia, how does he then feel about her? does he feel the same way to her?
Probably not he thought, she had this worlds me, and I had my worlds her, we're connected, but im commited to my worlds amelia...
I atleast hope I get to see her like a good friend or even family...
Suddenly a light noise of footsteps started creeping in, as they stopped, 2 figures emerged from the kitchen door
Amelia : " Oh Alice!, Andrew, you guys woke up!"
Evan, as soon as he realised who was coming, immediately looked down in an anxious manner
Evan: "(oh no...it's them, this worlds Evans children...)"
Evan didn't know how to feel about this, I mean for christs sake they are technically his children!
He didn't know how to go about this, how to approach them, I mean should he see himself as their father?, their peer? Or..

Evan thoughts started spiraling, but quickly stopped as one of them the son, Andrew approached him
Andrew: "um...hey, look, we wanted to kinda apologize for thinking your our dad so...
At first glance, Andrew seemed like the serious, looks out for others and takes charge type
Of course it's as Amelia said he's an older brother, 16, to his younger sister Alice, 15, so of course that adds up
Evan: "Hey dude, it's ok you know you dont have to worry about it, you guys have alot on your mind and really I should be the one to apologize!"
The younger sister before being quiet suddenly interjects
Alice: "No im the one who's sorry!, we were weird to you!"
Alice, the younger sister says this in a hurried desperate tone
She seems to be the more open and outgoing type
Evan: "(I guess she was just a bit timid before)"
They both seem like the two halves of Amelia, one the serious side and the outgoing side
Evan: " As I said it's fine-"
Andrew: " no it's not fine"
The brother once again interjects in a serious manner
Andrew: "you were in a scary situation and we made it worse by shouting nothings at you, even if you're not our dad, we don't wanna push that on you"
Evan stays Silent a bit and thinks to himself
Evan :"(Wow, other me, you really raised quite kind children...I wonder if I really could measure up to that)
His thought process gets interrupted however as Andrew interjects once again
Andrew: "Evan, you were informed about key abilities right?"
Evan: "yeah I did kinda get it, every organism in this world has some kind of designated ability right?
Andrew: "correct, and as you know, that means you are in great danger because you dont have one.
You're not from here, this is why we need to protect you from the Gods keys!"
Evan: "oh right...those guys who are oppsessed with my world?"
Andrew: "That's right, they will probably want to get to you so that's why we need to protect you
god knows what they will do to you"
Evan listened to Andrew and gave his full trust
He didn't know what to do, but he believed that he can have faith in them
But as soon as Evan wanted to show his gratidude to Andrew, something else quickly catches his attention
A sharp and maniacle voice suddenly rings out, one he recognized, but not in a good way
It came from the outside and not the Inside
This was someone else
???: " Isn't it a bit rude to talk about someone behind their back!?"
Before Evan could analyse what he just heard, the very next second, all he sees is a pink glow going towards him and the whole building crumbling in a loud bang
