The carriage rolled forward through the streets at a steady pace. Roman had no idea where his parents were staying, and this would be his first time visiting them since moving.
He rested his head against the window, quietly watching the people outside. Since they were still in the noble district, the streets were fairly empty, with only a few people walking around.
The trip didn't take long, and before he knew it, the carriage slowed down and finally came to a stop in front of a fairly large compound.
Roman couldn't believe what he was seeing, sure he knew his family would be placed in a comfortable home, but he never knew it would be this big.
A black gate stood before them, and slowly it was opened to reveal the inside of the compound.
As the carriage continued forward, Roman couldn't help but look around; it was far bigger than he was expecting and even more beautiful now that he was inside.
