"Master-level healing spell: Immortality. You've all heard of it, right?"
Ryen mentioned it casually. Everyone nodded immediately.
This was one of the most extraordinary spells in the entire Master tier. The day Ryen had brought it up, they had all committed it firmly to memory.
Ryen gave the staff a light flourish.
"When a healing master stands beside you, death transforms from a certainty into merely one option."
"The effect needs no real explanation. Resurrection. And with sufficient mana, large-scale continuous resurrection."
"For everyone who already carries a Totem of Undying, this spell functions primarily as a safety net."
That said, no Totem of Undying could match the sheer presence of a staff-wielded resurrection ability.
Between the two spells revealed so far, Zhongli was already considerably pleased. With this staff in hand, he would be the finest support in all of Teyvat, without competition.
"Third spell: Radiant Totem. Intermediate-level healing spell."
Ryen pointed outward. Sacred light descended across the area where everyone stood. A translucent floating cube appeared overhead, casting countless threads of light downward.
Even though no one had any particular need for healing, everyone felt a warmth spreading through them.
"Opens a healing formation within a designated area. All recognized allies, including summons, continuously and rapidly recover vitality."
"Recovery rate substantially exceeds a Tier-Two Life Recovery Potion. It also deals equivalent damage to any enemy outside the allied group."
"A well-rounded spell that combines healing with offensive capability."
"Looking at it from that angle, saturating the Goblin Knight with ranged firepower before it could act was genuinely the right call."
"If it had opened a Radiant Totem, you'd have been looking at a hundred-plus Millelith casualties."
"Formation-type spells may not match single-target damage, but they have the widest and most powerful area effect of any spell category."
"Congratulations. You now have healing capability. Another step toward the perfect hexagonal support."
Ryen said it with a cheerful smile.
Even Zhongli had to work to suppress his satisfaction. He looked at the staff with genuine approval.
All that bombardment had been worth it.
Aether, standing to one side, watched with undisguised longing.
Lumine had told him: many of the people around Ryen already had Master Staves, and every one of them was extraordinary beyond reason. She had said that anyone with a Master Staff could pose a genuine threat to the Heavenly Principles.
Aether had thought she was exaggerating at the time, though he had acknowledged the effect of Lumine's intermediate-tier Lich's Barrier. That had genuinely been unreasonable.
But looking at this healing Master Staff now...
Lumine had not been exaggerating at all.
Things this absurd actually existed?
Three spells in, and Aether was already convinced: played correctly, this staff could deal critical damage to the Heavenly Principles.
If he had known this world and these staves existed earlier, he would have been out of his mind to sit in the Abyss worrying over plans against the Heavenly Principles.
He would have sent his insufferable sister to Ryen's bed and traded her for a Master Staff.
The Heavenly Principles?
He'd have made her pick her ears up off the floor today.
He exhaled internally. Master Staves were not easy to come by.
And besides, Aether understood well enough: a world with weapons this extraordinary must also have corresponding monsters.
The danger was real. But the opportunity was worth running that risk.
His mind was moving. He recalled Ryen saying that the Witchery mod's next major development focus would be the new continent.
It seemed he needed to find a way to send more people to explore its Witchery-related secrets.
"Healing, debuffing, resurrection. With just these three spells, anyone who picks up this staff becomes a top-tier support. No other spells needed."
Lisa looked at the staff with genuine feeling. Jean beside her nodded in agreement.
"In our earlier planning, we intended to focus the mage corps on elemental output staves. Looking at this, healing staves may actually be more strategically important than output staves."
"Every single one of these spells is more powerful than the last, and none of them are even high tier..."
"As I always suspected: there are no weak staves, only weak users. We need to rethink the mage corps structure."
Ningguang and the others nodded in firm agreement.
Then everyone turned back to Ryen.
Only three spells had been covered. Four remained unknown.
Ryen didn't drag it out.
"The fourth and fifth spells, I strongly recommend using together."
"Neophyte-level healing spell: Mana Boost. And Neophyte-level healing spell: Heart of Courage."
He paused, already finding it somewhat difficult to say with a straight face.
"The effects I'm about to describe are going to seem a little... well, beyond expectations. But don't doubt it. These two are genuinely Neophyte-tier."
"Mana Boost: large-area allied mana enhancement. At Master healing staff potency, this increases spell power by seventy-five percent."
"You can also read it as: all elemental attacks and spell attacks for every ally receiving the buff deal seventy-five percent more damage."
"Heart of Courage: large-area allied strength enhancement. Provides all allies with a Tier-Two Strength effect."
"Worth noting: both spells have a three-second cooldown, a forty-five-second duration, and a mana cost of thirty each."
Ryen spread his hands with a mildly helpless expression.
"You follow what I mean? If you're willing, you can maintain continuous uninterrupted enhancement on allies and yourself."
"Combine that with the single-target debuff from Mark of Sacrifice and... one person dictating the entire flow of a battle is not a problem."
"More broken than a Beacon."
A silence settled over everyone.
Time passed. Aether looked at Ryen with a deeply complicated expression.
"Are you certain... both of those are actually Neophyte-tier? Could there be a misread?"
Ryen rolled his eyes.
"My eyesight isn't going. So when I say that anyone who picks up this staff becomes the unchallengeable king of support, I mean it."
"Single-target buff. Area buff. Single-target resurrection and healing. Area resurrection and healing."
"Add Zhongli's shield: an all-directional, no-blind-spot support sovereign is born."
"In the terms of my world: Zhongli has become the essential raid healer that everyone wishes they could duplicate. The kind you want to split in two so you can have one in every group."
"Honestly, in any large-scale online game's guild roster, a support like this would be drawing a salary."
Ryen's comparison was one only Aether could really grasp, given how much of his cross-world memory remained intact. Once Ryen said it, he understood completely.
The staff had exceeded every expectation. For a moment, even Zhongli was internally questioning whether he was up to the task of fully realizing its potential.
By any standard of assessment, this was extraordinary. Bring the entire population of Teyvat through for a viewing, and every single one of them would say the same thing.
A support like this was not just coveted by the damage dealers. In any large-scale engagement, everyone would be competing to bring gifts to the healer.
In terms of Ryen's gaming experience from his previous world: for the privilege of receiving this support, he would happily serve as pure damage output and nothing else.
Who could look at this and feel nothing?
Ningguang looked at the staff with a complex expression, opened her mouth several times without finding the right words.
After a while, she exhaled and said, with recovered composure:
"What are the last two spells?"
Ryen shrugged and continued.
"Purifying Beam. Intermediate healing spell, though in practice it has nothing to do with purification."
"Specific effect: deals sustained damage to the target. Also forces the target into mandatory blindness for three seconds."
"A genuinely disruptive skill. Its support value exceeds its direct damage value."
Venti had already gone numb. He exhaled.
"Of course. Another absolutely disruptive crowd-control effect. The old man's support repertoire has grown in yet another direction."
"What's the last spell? Whatever it is, I won't be shocked anymore."
Venti's expression at this moment was one of complete serenity. A man who had seen through the illusions of the world.
The cumulative impact of this staff was only marginally behind Ryen's own Temporal Stasis staff.
Ryen's Temporal Stasis was absolute in the sense of having no counter. This staff was absolute in the sense of being an unreasonable support.
Either way, none of it had anything to do with him. Thinking about it further would only bring unnecessary suffering.
If he had known the staff would be this powerful, he would have fought to take it immediately.
Then he, Venti, would have been the one every damage dealer treated as sacred.
Ryen looked at Venti with a quietly meaningful smile.
"Are you certain?"
Venti caught the tone immediately. Something was wrong. Before he could say anything, Ryen gave the staff an unhurried swing.
In an instant, a layer of brilliant luminance settled across Venti's form.
"For sheer absurdity, this last spell is what I would call the most extraordinary of all."
"This spell has the potential to achieve genuine invincibility."
"Truthfully, I could live without every other spell in this staff. This one I actually love."
"Master-level spell: Diamond Body."
"Zhongli already has his shield. Now add this, and not only the Heavenly Principles , even Phanes and the First Throne couldn't crack your shell."
Zhongli's expression darkened briefly, but considering that Ryen was at least explaining the spell for his benefit, he let the description pass.
Ryen continued with evident feeling.
"Diamond Body: grants the caster a thirty-second resistance enhancement and armor rating increase."
"At the base level, Diamond Body alone reduces all transcendent attribute damage from spells and elemental attacks by sixty percent."
"Combined with the armor increase, physical damage is also substantially mitigated."
"With the Master healing staff and the staff's Mana Boost enhancement, resistance can be pushed to maximum."
"Which means..."
Ryen paused, looked at the stunned expressions around him, and gave a confirming nod.
"Exactly as you're thinking. Once activated: complete immunity to all transcendent attribute damage. And physical damage, under the armor boost, is also negated."
"In simple terms: invincibility."
"Unlike transcendent spell effects, this spell doesn't just put you in an invincible state , it lets you stay in an attacking stance throughout."
"Which means: during this state, you can attack freely, but nothing anyone does can harm you."
"Pick up this staff, and leaving aside whether you can kill the Heavenly Principles , she cannot hurt you. She cannot break your defense. She would be at the mercy of your Diamond Body."
"The only thing this spell cannot protect against is void-fall damage."
"But the truly extraordinary part is..."
Ryen's expression turned somewhat complicated.
"This thing can even block a nuclear detonation."
