"Just give up, you'll never beat me."
Lee Na-Hee, still hidden. didn't answer. Instead, she remained quiet. Thinking on a strategy inside her head.
'What can I do? He clearly has a better sensory skill than me. Should I try luring him into an open space?'
Lee Na-Hee began to calculate every best possible way to fight against her opponent. Her mind keeps on thinking and thinking. She placed her hand on her chin.
After all of that thinking, she finally made up her mind.
"Catch me if you can, Ahjussi!"
She got out of the bush and began to sprint.
"There you are!"
An arrow came flying at her, she quickly dodged it. She kept on running, while dodging the arrow fired by the man.
"What's the matter? Your arrow can't hit me?
"Why are you so bad, Ahjussi?"
"I thought you said I'll never beat you?"
"Were you telling a joke or something?"
Lee Na-Hee rambled, she said those words with a mocking tone, while she was running through the forest. Her plan was simple, to provoke her opponent, while luring him into an open space.
If her opponent kept on wasting his arrow, that would be perfect as well. That was the plan in her mind.
'It's a good thing he's following me. But strange, how come he isn't saying anything?'
Lee Na-Hee felt uncomfortable, there was something strange about her opponent. He wasn't saying anything to the provocation. He was just dead silent, firing his bow.
Most people usually already reply to this kind of provocation. And yet her opponent right now remained silent. She decided to keep it in mind and kept on running.
Eventually, she arrives in a very vast space. There were no trees around, only a rocky environment could be seen. She looked back. Behind her, a man could be seen.
His jet black hair curling down. Wrinkled gray eyes with a black spot under it. A brown scar on his mouth. His office uniform that was once white, was painted with dark red colour that had already faded away.
As their eyes met each other, rain began to pour down the ground. They both stared at each other, scanning each other's intentions.
"How impressive." The man said, with a calm tone. "To think a girl at your age could plan something like this through."
He threw off his bow to the side and took off the empty arrowbag on his back. The man placed his hand on the waist. He looked around his surrounding, scanning the area thoroughly.
"Provoking me and luring me to this place. You knew that you can't win had you were still inside the forest. You decided to lure me into an open area."
The man clapped, his mouth curved up. He looked at Lee Na-Hee with an amazed expression.
"That was a wise decision, I'll give you that. But still, you haven't calculated one thing."
His expression slowly changed, his gray eyes stared directly at Na-Hee's face. His smile widened, his tone became more psychotic.
"Why in the world, did you think that it was a good decision to lure me into an open place?"
Without a second thought, Lee Na-Hee loaded her arrow and shot it. The arrow came flying toward the man. The man quickly grabbed the sword on his waist and pulled it up, deflecting the arrow. He ran, trying to approach Na-Hee.
Na-Hee fired two more arrows toward him. The man slid through the wet ground, dodging the arrow, before advancing once again. The man had finally reached Na-Hee. He quickly kicked the bow in her hand, followed by a lunge.
He raised his sword and swung it diagonally. Na-Hee quickly grabbed the sword in her waist. Swinging it up.
Klank!
The sound of steel colliding with each other. The man was smiling as he clashed with Na-Hee.
'So, Heavy!'
Their swords continue to clash. Both of them continuously attacked each other. But Na-Hee slowly but surely, was getting exhausted. She hadn't eaten anything after yesterday. And more importantly.
'I'm being… overpowered!'
The man was more stronger. Each attack kept on getting heavier and heavier as Na-Hee continued to clash.
"What's the matter! Weren't you mocking me before?"
"What you said before, was that just all talk? Hahahaha!"
The man laughed as he continued on attacking. Na-Hee looked at the man's expression. He was having fun.
"CMON, KEEP ON DANCING! MAKE IT FUN FOR ME!"
They kept on clashing with each other. But nonetheless, one person was slowly but surely, getting pushed back.
At one point, Na-Hee's vision slowly became blurred. Her focus decreased. Her head was also filled with pain. As the rain and the exhaustion finally taking their toll.
Tang!
'Ah'
Her sword was thrown into the air.
Bam!
The man kicked her right in the stomach. Launching her to the back. Crashing into one of the giant rocks. The man approached her and held her by the neck.
A gasping voice could be heard from Na-Hee's mouth. The man's gaze landed on her.
"I'll explain what's going to happen to you."
The man said with a relaxed tone.
"Firstly, I'm gonna kill you and play with your body."
"Secondly, I'm gonna mutilate your body and use it as bait to lure monsters."
"Thirdly."
The man paused.
"Well, there's no third. I was just joking."
The man laughed maniacally.
"How does that sound? Do you like my plan?"
Na-Hee looked at him. Her eyes were calm, there were no signs of fear or anything. But in her mind, she was scared. She was calling for help, she was sobbing, begging, and pleading. Wanting someone to help her, to save her life.
'Please, someone… save me.'
"You're boring."
The man said, with a tone of disappointment. The man thrusted his sword into her thigh. He looked at the blood flowing down from her thigh.
"..."
Na-Hee really wanted to scream, but she doesn't have any energy left to scream. Only tears came flowing down from her eyes. But the man couldn't see it. As it overlapped with the rain.
"Well, whatever."
He released the grip on her neck.
"It was fun while it lasted. Now, die."
As the man was about to swing his sword.
Splat!
The man stopped, as an arrow pierced right through the man's chest, blood began to pour down.
"You talk, too much."
The arrow quickly got snatched from the man's body. Na-Hee looked up, her attention didn't focus on the man that was about to kill her. Instead, on something else. A silhouette appeared as lightning roared on the sky. Right behind the man.
The silhouette grabbed the man and pulled him back. Throwing him to the ground. He turned around and slowly approached Na-Hee.
His appearances are slowly becoming more visible. His dark-brownish hair flowing through the rain, Those black eyes that showed concern.
"...Ahjussi."
As she said those words, Na-Hee fell unconscious.
