Today was officially my very first day inside the grand Royal Palace. Apparently, I'm starting my brand-new gig as the Royal Guardian and First Knight to the Second Princess. Initially, when I ended up in this mission, I was totally fine with just becoming a regular old sellsword. But honestly, this sudden development turned out to be incredibly convenient. For starters, the crown is paying me fifty whole Kairos a month here. Fifty! Do you have any idea how much wealth that is? By the time this entire gig is over, I'll be filthy rich enough to buy myself a massive personal manor. I could line up rows of uniform-clad maids... oh man, elf maids, cat girl maids, maybe a few other exotic demi-newman maids would be absolutely amazing to wake up to around the estate. But realistically speaking, that sweet dream isn't going to be possible with the actual grand goals I have in mind for this world.
