Chapter 242 - Chapter 242 An Invitation.

While the elven fleet was getting ready to have its first real-life combat test.

Teleren was discussing with Andrew and the ladies the other reason he came to the Lantean Empire.

-You mean that I have been invited to the gathering of all of the elven star nations surrounding this galaxy?

Andrew asked in disbelief when the elf explained the other reason for his visit.

-Yes, you have, and it is in your best interest to attend this gathering.

The elf confirmed.

-So what's the Agenda of this gathering?

Tarina asked.

Her interest was piqued immediately, as this would represent the biggest diplomatic opportunity the empire had ever encountered.

-Believe it or not, but you are the agenda.

Teleren stated, surprising everyone once again.

-Normally, the elven star nations deal with anyone who tries to occupy this galaxy, but with you, the situation is far from normal.

You are not trying to take over this galaxy from the outside, but you were dropped in here during your transfer, indicating that the creators placed you here for some reason, and even the first thousand would not dare to defy the creators.

Additionally, for some reason, not one, not two, but three factions of the first thousand are interested in you, making the situation even more unusual.

Not to mention, thanks to all the help you provided, you are already entangled with the Moon elf star empire, adding another problem for the elven star nations, as they don't want to attack an ally of one of us.

Lastly, right now, you are engaged in the battle with the Kinokians, who would love nothing more than to use this place as a back door to surround many of these star nations and force them to wage war on two fronts.

Teleren explained the situation as best as he could.

-So our fate is going to be decided at this gathering.

Andrew stated while trying to overcome the surprise from all that he had learned in that moment.

-It is very likely, and I doubt, that you would like it if they just decided without you there.

The elf confirmed.

-Since that's the case, I will attend.

Andrew decided.

Not like he had any other choice.

-Wait, you said that three of the first thousand are interested in my empire?

He suddenly asked, only now realizing that the number seemed to be off.

-Yes, there are three of them who bought the information from the guild about you and your empire recently.

-I thought the only ones who noticed us were from the Ilinian Collective?

Tanira asked, also surprised that two more of the powerful factions were noticing them now.

-That was in the past.

Right now, it's the Ilinian collective, the Ilinian Empire, and no, they are not the same faction; in fact, they hate each other because of their factions' names.

The last one is the Getherian council, who own the fleet that you found.

As for the Ilinian Empire, they are interested because their ship was sitting in this system for months, and you even had a conflict with one of its occupants, who turned out to be a cousin of their emperors' favored concubine.

-Of course she was.

Andrew sighed, remembering that his cousin destroyed his droids and even targeted the recharging station, which he managed to maneuver out of the way before it was hit by a device resembling a futuristic harpoon.

Lastly, one of his engineers even scolded the alien, right to her face.

Right now, he really regretted not blasting that rock and the ship to hell.

-Any idea what the two of them want?

Andrew asked, hoping that the elf could answer.

-No Idea, but the good news is that they are very far away, so whatever it is, they won't be able to come here anytime soon.

Teleren answered with a shrug.

-That's one less thing to worry about.

The emperor sighed

-Now returning to the main topic.

What do you think the elven star nations want to do about my empire?

The human asked, focusing on the more immediate matters.

-I can't say for sure, and I don't want to speculate.

The elf shook his head.

-Alright, so when and where is this gathering?

-Our Moon elf star empire hosts it, and it will take place in approximately three weeks.

The details are all here.

Teleren handed over a scroll with an invitation and a data chip.

-You will also find information about everyone attending in the chip, since I'm sure you were just about to tell my sister to buy all the information from the guild.

The elf smiled proudly when he saw Andrew's expression, which confirmed his words.

-The guild won't be happy about this.

Tanera said, wondering if her brother would land himself in trouble for that.

-I got the guild's approval to share this information.

In the end, the guild is earning a fortune thanks to all the trade Andrew is involved in, so they don't mind sending a small gift to him now and then.

Tanera was speechless.

This small gift was worth at least a few thousand platinum credits, if not even more, and her own brother was talking like it was pocket change.

-You are getting a bit too full of yourself.

She said, seeing his smug expression, which was infuriating her.

-Calm down, sis.

It's natural for me to get permission before I share the info; otherwise, I'd have to pay for that from my own pockets, and I'm not that rich yet.

He explained himself, seeing that Tanera was getting angry, and he had no desire to see if she'd smack him right in front of everyone.

-Alright, is there anything else regarding the official business?

Andrew asked, wanting to get this part over with before he focused back on the battle.

At the same time, he gave the chip to Tarina, as she would need this information the most, since she and Aelita would be accompanying him to the gathering.

-No, that's all.

Andrew nodded, happy that no more surprises were waiting for him at the moment, and turned back to see the situation on the battlefield.

-It seems that your fleet is about to have its first taste of real combat.

He said, seeing as a few Kinokian Vessels slipped through the gap provided by Arien's fleet and approached the elven forces.

Not that all of them made it, as most hit the debris field in front of the portal, but a few others managed to avoid the obstacle and activate their shields before rushing at what seemed the weakest point of the defense fleet.
