The clash between Kakashi and Zabuza was about to reach its end.
Kakashi was also exhausted. He had only recently recovered from chakra exhaustion, and his body was not in perfect condition. Still, he knew he had to finish the fight now.
Lightning began to gather around his hand.
The sharp sound of electricity filled the bridge.
Chidori.
Kakashi lowered his body and rushed toward Zabuza, his lightning-covered hand aimed directly at Zabuza's heart.
The air became heavy with tension.
The sound of Chidori rang in Zabuza's ears like the cry of death.
Zabuza stood his ground.
He was exhausted.
Blood covered parts of his body.
His breathing was rough, and his strength was almost gone. But even then, his pride kept him standing upright.
He knew his end was near.
But Naruto had other plans.
Naruto rushed toward Kakashi and Zabuza with everything he had left.
His legs burned.
His heart pounded heavily in his chest.
His body was already tired from fighting Haku, using the Ghostery Technique, manipulating Haku's soul, and forcing himself to move again. But he still pushed forward.
A single thought burned in his mind.
'I have to be the one to kill Zabuza. Only then will his sword recognize me. This is the first step to gaining its recognition. My instinct is telling me this.'
Naruto forced every last bit of energy into his legs.
His body flickered.
For a brief moment, he moved faster than the eye could follow. To the others, it looked as if Naruto had disappeared and appeared again in a flash.
But the cost was heavy.
His energy was almost completely drained.
At the same time, Sasuke was rushing toward the front line. He jumped from one safe spot to another, avoiding the sudden ice spikes rising from the bridge.
He was close.
Just a little more, and he would reach them.
Kakashi's Chidori was only inches away from Zabuza's chest.
Naruto saw it.
If he delayed even a second, Kakashi would kill Zabuza first.
With the last bit of strength in his body, Naruto appeared behind Zabuza and swung his sword in a wide curve.
The blade cut through Zabuza's neck cleanly.
Blood burst out as Zabuza's head separated from his body.
SURP.
Shhk!
In that same instant, Kakashi's Chidori pierced into Zabuza's heart.
But Naruto's sword had landed first.
Naruto had killed Zabuza before Kakashi's attack finished the job.
The force of Naruto's swing sent Zabuza's head flying across the bridge. It landed hard on the ground and rolled several times through the mist.
Sasuke finally reached the front line.
He froze.
In front of him stood Kakashi, his hand still inside Zabuza's chest.
Beside him was Naruto, holding a bloodied sword.
And between them was Zabuza's headless body.
Sasuke's eyes widened.
'What am I missing here?'
Thud.
Something struck Sasuke's leg.
He slowly looked down.
It was Zabuza's head.
A chill ran through Sasuke's body.
He stood frozen, staring at the lifeless face near his foot. Shock and unease filled his eyes.
Then his gaze shifted toward Naruto.
Naruto was still standing for a moment, but his body was already at its limit.
A second later, he collapsed to the ground.
Sasuke's thoughts raced.
Then his eyes moved toward Haku, who was protecting Sakura and Tazuna with ice.
'Who is this guy? Why is he protecting Sakura and Tazuna? What happened while I was away?'
As Zabuza's lifeless body fell, the Executioner's Blade slipped from his hand.
The massive sword struck the bridge with a heavy clang and fell just behind Naruto.
Its handle edge touched Naruto's hand.
The moment it made contact with him, Naruto's vision blurred.
The bridge disappeared.
For a moment, he saw another world.
The sky was crimson.
A blood-red moon hung above him, huge and silent.
The ground beneath his feet was covered with skulls, stretching endlessly in every direction. Far ahead, there were many hills made of skulls, but one hill was larger than all the others.
It rose like a mountain.
Stairs were carved with bones, leading all the way to the top.
At the peak of that skull mountain, something shone with a strange, bright light.
The vision felt real.
But at the same time, it felt like it belonged to another plane, not the ninja world.
Naruto's heart beat faster.
Before he could understand more, the vision vanished.
His eyes returned to the real world.
The Executioner's Blade bounced away from his hand and landed only a few inches from him.
Naruto tried to reach for it.
His fingers moved slightly, but his body refused to obey.
He forced himself again.
Still, nothing happened.
His body had gone numb.
He could see the sword.
It was right there.
So close.
But he could not grab it.
Naruto understood his condition and gave up for now.
'Not now... but soon.'
His eyes slowly closed.
Then he lost consciousness.
Seeing Zabuza's head on the bridge, Gato's face turned pale.
His army was already in chaos because of Haku's ice spikes. Now the main man he had hired was dead, and Zabuza's own subordinate was standing with the other side.
Gato did not think twice.
He turned and ran toward the shore without even looking back.
His goons saw him running and quickly followed.
"Boss! Wait!"
"Run!"
"That monster killed Zabuza!"
One by one, they fled from the bridge in fear.
Haku released the ice wall around Sakura and Tazuna.
The bridge slowly became quiet again.
Kakashi stood there, exhausted but still on his feet.
Naruto lay unconscious near the Executioner's Blade.
Sakura, Sasuke, and Haku stood in silence, glancing at one another with clear tension between them.
No one fully understood what had just happened.

Naruto's energy is drained because he fought Haku, used the Ghostery Technique, performed soul manipulation, and then forced his body into high-speed movement.
All of these things happened in the same time frame. I used different scene cuts to show what was happening with different characters. 😁😁
