Nadia's calm voice drifted through the hallway, cutting straight through Luna's hysterical laughter and Kaela's ongoing mental breakdown.
I looked at the violet-haired girl. She was standing a few meters away, holding a stack of dark grimoires against her chest. Unlike the others, Nadia didn't look shocked. Her violet eyes swept over the open doorway, lingering on Alicia—who was wearing nothing but my oversized shirt—before snapping back to me.
Then, very faintly, the corner of her lips curved upward.
That quiet, knowing smirk felt infinitely more dangerous than all of Kaela's screaming combined.
Luna pointed dramatically at me like she'd just uncovered a massive conspiracy. "See?! Even Nadia gets it! This bastard committed actual crimes against humanity in there!"
"Pretty sure humanity survived," I replied dryly.
