He was seriously considering it! No, I should say, enjoying my panic! The corner of his lips was curled up to a lopsided smile, and he was barely holding it. He already looked triumphant, and that pissed me off big time.
So, I pondered for a bit, contemplating whether I could still go.
However, a few seconds of watching the famous ride was enough to distort my face.
The moment the ride started moving, everyone seated inside looked terribly excited and scared at the same time. The circular platform lurched sideways without warning, sending a chorus of startled screams into the air.
The passengers slid across the smooth seats, crashing into complete strangers. But then, they laughed as if ending up hugging someone you've never met was a normal thing, or suddenly sitting on someone else's lap wasn't embarrassing.
