The sun shone harshly overhead, and in the tent, Eva finally stirred awake. She looked at the ceiling of her tent dazedly for a moment before fully waking up.
She didn't feel the urge to get out of bed or even to do anything at all.
'I wish I were served like those consorts in the novel... sigh... I can only dream,' Eva muttered inwardly, her body feeling boneless.
She turned to the side and noticed the two were gone, so she merely rolled over into a comfortable position.
Her limbs spread out on each side of the bed, with her hair loosely scattered against the pillow.
The tent flap was pulled open. She turned her head toward the entrance, and their gaze met.
"You're awake. Afternoon." Ethan greeted as he neared the bed.
"Hmm." Eva hummed in response, not feeling the urge to speak.
Ethan's brows rose slightly at her lukewarm response, and he wondered if she was on her period.
He sat on the edge of the bed and pulled her hair away from her face.
