When they finally emerged and reunited with the people waiting outside, Ross's wives and women quickly noticed something strange.
The world around them appeared exactly as they had left it.
The sun was still in nearly the same position. The surroundings were unchanged.
Even the people outside looked as though they had barely moved since Ross had brought them away.
At first, they were confused.
Then realization slowly dawned on them.

"Only one night," someone answered.
