Chen Yang and Niu Ming exchanged a glance and followed along.

As they entered the shop, they saw a middle-aged man with a goatee, whose sneaky appearance made him look quite untrustworthy, smiling as he came out from a room inside the shop.
"Doctor Li, we've almost gathered enough for the medical fees. We came by this time just to give it to you." The elder spoke to the middle-aged man with utmost respect.
He then took out a wad of crumpled cash from his pocket.
Most of it was in small denominations, enough to show how hard the elderly couple had scrimped and saved for this money.
But the middle-aged man seemed to think nothing of it. Seeing the elder pull out the money, his eyes immediately sparkled with greed, and the smile on his face grew even wider.
