It turned out there was far more information about this foreign land than Cassian had expected. Over the years, numerous expeditions had been sent into it—enough to map a significant portion of the territory and uncover parts of its history, along with details about the species that inhabited it.
The species living within this fragment of a foreign world were somewhat humanoid in appearance, but noticeably taller and larger than humans. They possessed faces resembling giant lizards and long tails as well. However, unlike reptiles, they didn't have scales. Instead, their bodies were covered in thick hides more similar to those of apes, giving them a strange and distinctly alien appearance.
Cassian learned all of this from the documents Brigid had handed him, many of which contained detailed observations gathered by previous expeditions.
