Chapter 77 - Volume 2 Chapter 26: World Changes Pt.-1

Administration office,

System Manager,

Cosmic Universe

While Neo was busy with his current world enjoying his time while relying on the overpowered package he had received in rolette, another different story was unfolding here.

"Sir, another one of the newborns took a mutant world mission. I wanted to stop it but it was already done." A figure in a platinum robe whispered.

A man in black clothes sitting on the chair rubbing his chin while thinking about something amusing. He was listening like it was a fiction story.

Former continued, "My lord, his name is Neo. This is his second mission."

"The original world that was supposed to be white~yellow has almost reached Blue standard."

"This newborn doesn't have the experience to tackle it alone. Should be send assistance ?" He said so far and waited for the man in the black robe to answer.

The man in the platinum robe was named Marcus and he was the administrator of the newborn mission hall. The grey, white, and yellow-mist worlds were directly under his supervision.

He was a platinum-grade entity but he was still being extremely respectful to the guy in black because he was much more terrifying than himself.

The man in black was called Genesis and he was one of the seven general administrators of the parallel worlds zone.

This zone contained all the overlapping timeliness of the worlds that are present in this cosmos.

You can't even fathom the power he holds in his hands.

Except for the unique timelines, he could be called emperor in this region. He could strip superpowers from disobedient entities like an adult snatching candy from a kid.

Marcus visibly frowned after seeing the report.

For ordinary newborn systems, reaching thirty percent strain was already considered dangerous.

Fifty percent usually resulted in forced mission termination.

Anything above sixty percent required direct administrative review.

Yet Neo had somehow managed to reach sixty-nine percent during only his second mission.

Even Marcus had never seen such a ridiculous record.

The purple-robed official beside him calmly flipped through several floating records.

Every page contained violations.

Unauthorized destiny modification.

Excessive resource injection.

High-level fate interference.

Future information leakage.

World evolution acceleration.

The more he read, the stranger his expression became.

Finally he looked up.

"My lord..."

"This newborn has committed enough violations to receive three separate warnings."

Marcus nodded.

"And yet the world itself is benefiting."

The purple-robed official sighed.

"That's the problem."

"Normally these actions would damage the world."

"But his interference increased the world's growth rate by nearly three hundred percent."

"The World Will actually approved most of the changes."

Silence filled the hall.

Even Genesis laughed after hearing that.

"A troublemaker favored by the World Will?"

"Interesting."

Genesis leaned back in his chair.

A countless number of worlds floated inside his pupils.

Civilizations rose.

Civilizations fell.

Entire universes were born and destroyed every second.

Yet among those endless scenes...

his attention remained on Neo's mission.

A smile slowly appeared on his face.

"Second mission..."

"Sixty-nine percent strain..."

"And he already managed to create a Blue-rank mutation."

"Either he is an idiot..."

"Or a genius."

Marcus remained silent.

Genesis chuckled.

"Most likely both."

Another Purple entity present there reported, "My lord, the world was not supposed to be ranked that high but the newborn introduced an immortal cultivation system in it due to which the world grade has skipped the ranks and is now close to becoming Blue-grade world."

This person was much more calm and probably experienced these situations many times. He spat concise facts of the case and stood to the side as if waiting for judgment.

Genesis smiled happily, amused by this newborn's lack of fear and caution toward the tasks.

He said, "He has the knife of destiny with him but probably doesn't know the cost he would bear for using it. He should be able to save his life with the points he has."

"Do this, if the world level upgrades further up, then send reinforcements. If he can handle this alone then put him under observation."

He then waved his hand and everyone else teleported back to their places.

While everyone was walking out of the hall, another instruction followed, "Don't let those people mess in that world."

Back to Mission World,

Li Tao was slightly stunned when he looked at Luo Bingchen while using eye of data

Meanwhile, across the hall...

Luo Bingchen slowly raised his head.

His gaze met Li Tao's eyes from across the crowd.

For a brief moment—

the two stared at each other.

Neither spoke.

Neither moved.

Yet both felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity.

As if they had met somewhere before.

In another life.

Or perhaps...

at another point in time.

A strange feeling appeared in Li Tao's heart.

The person standing before him was still Luo Bingchen.

Yet at the same time...

he somehow wasn't.

"Neo."

"What exactly did you see?"

Neo hesitated.

Then he activated one of the few authority permissions he still possessed.

A translucent panel appeared before him.

The panel flickered.

Then another warning appeared.

Neo almost spat blood.

"F*ck."

Li Tao blinked.

"What happened now?"

Neo's face turned black.

"I got fined five minutes ago."

"Half my permissions are gone."

"I can't even inspect this guy properly anymore."

Li Tao almost laughed.

For the first time since obtaining the system...

Neo looked less like an omnipotent helper and more like a bullied office worker.

The system spirit immediately became furious.

[Ding! Host!]

[I am still your superior support unit!]

Li Tao nodded.

"Of course."

"You are just a support unit under disciplinary action."

[Ding! ...]

[Ding! I hate you.]

Neo almost cursed aloud.

"Damn it..."

Li Tao immediately sensed the seriousness of the matter.

"What happened?"

Neo's voice sounded ugly.

"Host..."

"This guy is no longer Luo Bingchen."

Li Tao's pupils contracted.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean exactly what I said."

"The soul inside his body doesn't belong to this world."

For a moment Li Tao thought of Ye Feng.

Then of himself.

Then of the black gate hidden inside the Endless Mountains.

His eyes narrowed.

"Another reborn person?"

Neo immediately denied it.

"No."

"The feeling is completely different."

"It feels more like..."

Neo paused.

Then spoke word by word.

"A cultivator from another world."

Li Tao's heart skipped a beat.

A traveler?

A cultivator?

Or perhaps someone similar to Ye Feng?

The original novel never contained such a character.

This variable had appeared completely outside the script.
