Hi again. It's been a while. Sorry, I forgot about this autobiography. Yes, it is an autobiography, and I don't know why I named it The Silent Gaze, but yes, flow with it.
Let me do another introduction. My name is Calantha Grey, assistant to Colton Walt, who owns one of the biggest conglomerates in California. So yeah, come with me on this wild ride as I tell you about my life as it goes.
So yeah, I know most of you might be wondering, is the man I met on the road yesterday the same one who wrote me that letter this morning? Simple answer: no. Complex one is kind of… not sure, but no.
So yeah, I am at work right now, and it seems my boss is calling me.
"I'm coming!" I shout.
God, that man has a temper.
"Sir," I say as I enter his office.
"Did I ask you to enter? Did you knock before entering? Where are your manners?"
"I am sorry, sir," I say while going back to knock.
"DID I SAY YOU COULD LEAVE? God."
"No, sir."
"So why are you leaving?"
"I wanted to—"
He cuts me off.
"I don't want to hear it. Where are the documents I asked for?"
"I already sent them, si—"
"And the appointments? Have they been made?"
"You are so incompetent. You are fired."
"Okay, sir," I say, because he can't find anyone like me who puts up with his nasty temper. He had like six assistants before me who all quit. I don't know why they quit because the pay is good.
"SO YOU ARE JUST GOING TO GO LIKE THAT? NO ANYTHING? NO BEGGING?"
God, I wonder whether this man has hypertension or blood pressure because he shouts too much.
My boss is handsome, don't get me wrong. Ohh, he has black eyes like every other being, but they are slightly brown under sunlight, with brown hair and other features that make a handsome man, but he shouts too much.
I know you guys are wondering whether he is my stalker.
He is not.
He is a man-child in all ways, and another annoying part is that he has a girlfriend. Like you, I was, and still am, as surprised as you are.
You would expect his girlfriend to be bitchy or something like that, but no. She is a sweetheart, a very kind soul. Remi. She is so beautiful with her baby face, her cute lips, and her body. Everything about her is so good and perfect. I don't understand how she ended up with this kind of guy, but I guess the heart loves who it loves, like me, for example.
Where were we? Oh yes, back to collecting screams from my boss until we were interrupted by the most handsome man I have ever seen.
He is like about 6'1", and I'm 5'7", so we fit literally.
"Ahhhhh, oh my God."
His hair… so beautiful. No, it is not blonde. It is black, with amber eyes and other features that make him a more handsome man than my boss. I am literally gaping at him right now.
He looked my way.
"Oh my God," I say, fanning myself.
Literally, I did and said that out loud, by the way, making that one of the awkwardest moments of my life, if that is even a word.
But yeah, as you guessed, he is my stalker.
Yeah, yeah, I know. Suspense.
But he is my man, is he not? And my book. But just so you have to guess, I would not say his name or even let anyone say his name until we are acquainted here.
So after I literally started drooling for him, he cleared his throat and brought me back to my most embarrassing moment, with the two of them staring at me.
He is fine. Like fine. Damn fine. I can use this whole book to describe his features, every single one. Wink.
So back to the situation. When I saw them looking at me, I ran out of there to the bathroom, but I could hear his throaty laugh from there.
"Oh MY GOD! Aghhhhh!"
I say when I look at myself in the mirror.
I literally have drool at the side of my face. Like, I'm not exaggerating. My man is fine from top to bottom.
You know those thirst traps on TikTok where you see one fine, handsome dude who is so fine you have to call him Heartbreak? Yep. My man. But he is not a heartbreaker.
