[The scene then returns to a battle sequence, with the following identities appearing:]
Gregor (Initial identity)
Yi Sang (Seven Association)
Faust (Initial identity)
Don Quixote (Shi Association)
Rodya (Zwei Association)
[With the boost from their Identities, the battles became much easier than before.]
"I have finished my studies."
Yi Sang struck several times with his rapier, causing pale green "7"s to appear across the opponent's body. Yi Sang turned his back to the opponent, calmly took a sip of coffee. Then, with a loud burst, a massive "7" was carved across the enemy's chest.
Yi Sang: "That one has become vulnerable." (T/N: Enemy stagger voiceline)
"Let us vanquish these evildoers!"
A crimson flash erupted as Don Quixote turned into a black blur, decapitating her opponent in an instant.
Don Quixote: "I slew them!" (T/N: enemy kill voiceline)
"Subduing target!"
Rodion knocked aside the incoming iron pipe with her hammer before bringing it crashing down onto the enemy's head.
Rodya: "Phew~ Did they get knocked out cold?" (T/N: enemy stagger voiceline)

Han Dynasty
It wasn't merely their clothing that changed; even their very identities were altered. This mirror technology is truly amazing. Emperor Wu of Han couldn't help but exclaim in amazement.
It's unknown what kind of Identities the other people will develop.
Spain (16th century)
"Sigh, she looks so reluctant," Cervantes sighed.
Knights should fight their enemies head-on, but the Shi Association is demanding assassinations.
Don Quixote, who possesses such a strong sense of justice, must surely feel conflicted fighting in such a manner…

While directing the Sinners in battle, Dante suddenly heard Faust's voice again.
Faust: "When Sinners resonate with each other emotionally, a powerful skill called E.G.O (Extermination of Geometrical Organ) can be triggered. Using EGO requires consuming Sin Resources.
The sins are: Wrath, Lust, Sloth, Gluttony, Gloom, Pride, and Envy."
[Afterwards, the terms and conditions for the use of EGO appeared on the Sky Screen:]
[E.G.O is a powerful manifestation born from a Sinner's emotional resonance. Using EGO skills requires Sin Resources. Each skill used in battle accumulates Sin Resources corresponding to its affinity.]

Tang Dynasty
"Equipment born from emotion…" Li Bai murmured in amazement.
"If my own emotions were given form, what kind of sight would they become?"
"So that was the reason for their sudden transformation…" Emperor Taizong of Tang said thoughtfully.
"But if such power is born from sin, would it not eventually affect the user as well?"
Western Middle Ages
"Wrath, Lust, Sloth, Gluttony, Gloom, Pride, Envy…" A priest read the above words with trembling hands.
"They...they are... Satan's followers!"
Italy (Renaissance)
"The Seven Deadly Sins…" Dante shook his head.
"Tsk… this time, they truly are walking the path toward hell."
(Initially, only eight vices that harm one's spirituality were identified: gluttony, lust, greed, wrath, sloth, gloom, vanity, and pride.)
In the late sixth century, vanity was attributed to pride, and melancholy to sloth.
In the 13th century, based on the views in Catholic doctrine, these seven deadly sins were further clarified, resulting in the seven deadly sins we know today: pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth.
(And the wicked Xiao Jin here replaced greed with gloom.) (T/N: Xiao Jin = Kim Ji Hoon (his surname Kim/김 becomes 金 (Jin in Chinese pronunciation), Founder of Project Moon)

Charon: "Road's clear. But Verg, Mephi could've just run them over and pushed through just fine."
Dante: "<...Huh? What was the point of putting me through all that fighting, then?>"
[Yes, why did we do that just now? The ancient people had the same question as Dante.]
[There were only a few people; why didn't they just run them over with the big bus? Why go through all this trouble?
Even if someone died, it would hardly matter here. This is deep in the forest. Who knows if some panther, lion, or a wolf might just pass by and eat them.]
Vergilius stepped in at the sight of my rattling head and agitated gestures.
Vergilius: "Calm yourself, Dante. It's not right to ask a toddler to run when it has yet to take its first steps. Best take every opportunity there is to walk on your own feet before you're made to run."
Vergilius: "Furthermore… Dante. As the manager… your job is to "manage" your staff. And I… am the guide. I decide the "where" and the "how" of our journey."
Vergilius: "Am I understood? Don't argue with me."
Dante: "<... How am I supposed to not question a stranger who can't even hear me?>"

Three Kingdoms
"That's where Dante went wrong; it's obvious Vergilius wanted to train their abilities through combat." Cao Cao said.
Moreover, Vergilius had already saved them once. Repaying such a debt was only natural.
