In the world of magic and technology, people harness diverse magical powers alongside modern technology, transforming the impossible into the possible. The discovery of magic had a profound impact on history, originating during the Crusaders Era when a renowned saint first used "Holy Magic" to vanquish evil and end the war.
As magic evolved, it brought new opportunities and innovations, including machines capable of utilizing both mana and technology. Initially, people employed magic in simple ways: they used "Water Magic" for irrigation on farms, "Earth Magic" for mining and workshops, "Wind Magic" to dry clothes, and "Fire Magic" for cooking, among other applications.
During the Crusaders Era, only Four Elements of magic were commonly used. However, with the onset of the French Revolutionary Wars, new types of spells were created, including "Attack Magic," "Defense Magic," and "Offense Magic." As a result, the Four Elements expanded to include "Ice Magic," "Light Magic," "Dark Magic," "Lightning Magic," "Nature Magic," "Metal Magic," "Sound Magic," and, most notably, "Holy Magic." The latter had been sealed by the Church after the Crusaders Era due to its immense power, which was wielded by saints.
In this new era, different categories were established for each type of magic to differentiate them. Soon after, a concept known as "Aura" was discovered, which enhanced the physical abilities of individuals, objects, and even weapons or skills. This development led to the use of gunpowder weapons, as Aura allowed users to block bullets and withstand artillery fire from cannons.
Following the French Revolutionary Wars, further advancements emerged in the United States, where a system called the "Window System" was developed. This system displayed individuals' abilities, stats, and other information. However, since it was newly released, issues arose, such as the potential for others to see private information that users wished to keep hidden.
Over the years, the "Window System" has developed into a robust framework, and soon the United States began sharing this knowledge globally. As a result of the worldwide release of the Window System, new class jobs were discovered in Asia, allowing individuals to pursue specific career paths. Concurrently, mysterious phenomena known as "Dimensional Gates" began to appear around the globe.
These Dimensional Gates posed a significant threat, as they unleashed unknown creatures and monsters that had never been seen before. In response, various nations established a National Association to register adventurers willing to take the risks of exploring these gates and combating the looming threats. Surprisingly, these explorations yielded precious minerals and new, unknown items.
Among these precious minerals were "Mithril," "Adamantite," and "Magic Ore." Unfortunately, due to the limitations of technology and magic in this world, it became challenging to utilize them effectively. As a result, industrialized countries prioritized the manufacturing of these valuable minerals. People soon realized that solo exploration of the Dimensional Gates was difficult and that forming ad hoc groups with strangers was hard to trust. This realization led to the creation of "Guilds and Alliances."
Guilds and alliances serve as important social and organizational structures that facilitate cooperation, trade, and collective defense among individuals and factions with shared interests. Consequently, the creation of guilds and alliances around the Dimensional Gates is not an issue with people they trust; however, there remains a critical flaw—betrayal.
Then came World War I, a period of total chaos and widespread destruction fueled by the powers of technology, magic, and aura. Nazi Germany was able to expand its territory significantly but ultimately failed due to a miscalculation involving the Christian Churches and religion. This misstep was triggered when a German soldier executed a high-ranking bishop, leading the Christian Church to declare war on Nazi Germany.
In response, the church established "Holy Barriers" and "Holy Castle Walls" in the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, and parts of Africa to prevent the German Army from expanding its territories. Meanwhile, in Asia, countries were being occupied by the Japanese Army.
As World War I came to a close, no significant developments occurred due to the numerous issues and challenges that arose during the conflict, paving the way for World War II.
With the help of powerful nations and the involvement of the Christian Church, they drove the German Army back and ultimately brought peace to Europe. However, a certain scientist developed an atomic bomb infused with magical capabilities that enhanced its firepower and explosion. This devastating bomb was dropped on two cities in Japan, leading to the country's surrender.
Following this, peace was established, and the United Nations was founded, along with the World Association and the International Association. New places began to emerge in our world, similar to Dimensional Gates; however, these locations, known as "Dungeons," were not portals to other worlds but rather existed within our own. Scientists discovered that these Dungeons were associated with strange phenomena, where monsters and unknown creatures appeared. This was attributed to "Chaotic Energy" or "Entropy."
This Chaotic Energy was born from the cycles of Creation and Destruction, particularly following the events of World War I and World War II. As a result, various cults emerged, practicing "Chaos Magic," which posed a threat due to its links to Dark Magic and the growing influence of Chaos Magic. At the same time, Mithril became a valuable resource, utilized for construction and military purposes.
Regarding Magic Ore, it was quite challenging to work with. The reason behind this is that each type of ore corresponds to different elements. Consequently, the small ores that were discovered were utilized for everyday necessities in the world. For example, Electrical Ores were used to generate electricity, Water Ores produced clean and fresh water, and Light Ores were primarily employed in mines and caves, among others. Currently, larger ores are being manufactured due to their hardness, but soon, with the aid of mithril tools, this will be feasible, including the use of Adamantite.
Another significant development was the desire to leverage the social status within the world. By forming connections in the political sphere, a system of social status was established for individuals who had made a notable impact on human rights issues. Three categories of social status were created:
1. Standard Status: This category is balanced and neutral.
2. Nobility Status: This status is associated with fame and wealth.
3. Military Status: This designation comes with power and recognition.
However, this is merely the external perception of the world. In reality, a substantial portion—approximately 75%—of families holding these statuses abuse their power, leading to significant changes in society.
Not only that, but the World Association has also established rankings for adventurers exploring dimensional gates or dungeons. The ranking system starts from the lowest level, G-Rank, and goes up to the highest, currently A-Rank. They also categorize class jobs to determine whether they fall into low-rank or high-rank categories. However, this system has led some people to look down on those with low-ranking class jobs or low adventuring rankings. I believe only arrogant and selfish individuals behave this way.
To address this issue, the United Nations, World Association, International Association, and National Association have developed the World Mastery Academy. This institution allows anyone who is willing to learn and become an adventurer—also referred to as a player or awakener—to do so. This project was designed to counter the elitism of those with high social status and to ensure that individuals from lower social strata can learn to combine technology with magic and aura.
