"The Power Of Us!"
This word may sound very cringey under other circumstances, but to the people here, it is the most inspiring thing they could have heard.
"Let's give it a try!" Mayor Oliver took his daughter's hand and looked at Professor Toren, "Professor Toren, is there any way to disperse the smoke?"
The dangerous smoke was caused by the spread of high-concentration spores. And thus most likely couldn't be dispersed by the power of these Pokémon, as most of them were on the weaker side. Not to mention that Aut even if Ash were to use his own powers and his Pokémon's, if it is simply dispersed, it may cause more serious consequences, not to just the city, but to all of its surrounding areas. Maybe even the nearby Kanto Region.
Professor Toren thought for a while, "We have to go back to the Laboratory and make a large amount of potions that can naturally restore Pokémon's ability... But even if we do that, we can't spread it to the entire city!"
With these positions, recovery was possible, but there wasn't time or resources to spread all of it so quickly.
