Chapter 29 - Chapter 28: Fierce and Broken

Elaine and Yuer stood apart from each other.

A warrior whose heart is set ablaze.

And a stone-blooded fighter whose strength is her own body.

This battle is now coming to an end.

And only one can live to tell the tale.

The two lowered themselves, in fighting stance. Elaine following her father's footsteps in the art of Shang Fu. Yuer, relying on her combative discipline in the Breathing Cherry Blossom.

"Show me how strong the Shang Fu art is, little girl," Yuer lowly spoke, her foot shifting forward just an inch.

"Mantis: Green Bullet," Elaine shot into a blur, spinning a kick right to Yuer's head.

Yuer further enhanced her aura, keeping her posture steady, raising her arm. She blocked Elaine's attack, the very force creating a gust of powerful winds.

The two went right at it. Fists flew, kicks scythed and swept. Each attack grows stronger, faster than the other.

Yuer jabbed three times, fast. But Elaine bobbed and weaved each one.

Elaine punted her foot forward to a high kick, aiming at Yuer's chin.

Yuer side stepped, just slightly dodging Elaine's foot and sent a palm.

But Elaine hastily slammed her foot down, diagonally, stomping Yuer's hand away. Yuer was caught off guard, and Elaine punished. "Tiger: Behemoths Palm!" Red aura bursts from Elaine's hand, and smitten Yuer right onto the sternum!

Yuer coughed, blood mixed with spit as the very attack caused a rumbling wave of wind and destruction, getting cast back, crashing into the wall!

Yuer growled, stepping from the debris, cracking her neck. 'She's…different now,' Yuer thought to herself, 'she's completely focused… how interesting…'

Elaine came bursting into Yuer, pushing multiple attacks in just a second. Each fist and kick flew with precision, power, and speed. Yuer raised her arms, blocking and dodging whatever came her way. But now it was challenging, it's like Elaine was an entirely different person. The glint in her eyes, the chaos that drifted from her body…

'That's it…!' Yuer sent her own kick, but Elaine weaved under, spinning into a windmill, sending her legs whirling like a cyclone.

Yuer was hit on the stomach, legs, face, sent twirling into the air.

"Monkey!" Elaine hastily flipped up as she continued to spin, "force decline!" Elaine hammered her heel right onto Yuer's chest, slamming into the ground!

Yuer slid across the broken floor as rubble shot into all directions. She quickly set herself back up, watching as Elaine was already dashing to her, 'it all makes sense now…this girl reached instinct state! It doesn't happen to everyone, and it doesn't happen frequently… But when it does, the individual is completely stuck in a flow-like conscious. A battle trance!'

Yuer grinned, "yes…! YES! CMON LITTLE GIRL!!"

Elaine and Yuer's fist clashed, the air snapped, rubble flew, multiple layers of the floor extended deeper into the ground!

Yuer quickly flipped back into the air, "Breathing Cherry Blossom Style: REAPING BLOSSOM!!" Pink aura danced and flared as Yuer swiped her leg forward. Beams of cherry light rolled, speeding to Elaine.

Elaine's aura bursts from her body and sends herself flying through the sky as the pink beams of light tracked behind her. But Yuer didn't let off, spamming the same attack, releasing a barrage of them to Elaine.

Elaine flipped, spun and circled past beams as they collided with each other at high speeds. Fireworks of blossoms bursting like a beautiful show of lights.

Elaine eyed more beams following her, 'I gotta find a way to take her down…catch her off guard.' As Elaine continued to elude them, that's when an idea had shined in her head.

The girl shot herself straight up to the clouds, the beams tracing behind her every move. Elaine faced them, raising her hand, aura flowed, the air itself began to gyrate as if a black hole had appeared. Each wisp of light was sucked into the pocket of telekinetic energy she released, swiveling like a ball.

Elaine merely shot the ball straight into the sky, past the clouds.

Now, her plan starts.

The young lady pulled her knees in and flipped down towards the surface. Yuer watched as Elaine came speeding down towards the outside of the yard, and swiftly caught herself, flying near the ground, heading right to her.

"Breathing Cherry Blossom Style…silver lining!!" Yuer's body was covered in aura, shining, and sent herself off like a trident, the ground spreading apart as she flew!

As Elaine came in, rock and rubble were collected from the floor, fitting her form and body. That was it! Elaine was using the natural elements to create a body of armor!

Elaine then spun. Spinning and spinning, gaining more speed with each twirl. As Yuer and Elaine closed the distance, Elaine shot her fist out, colliding with Yuer's foot!

The impact was massive, ginormous! Trees broke down, grass was shredded, the ground exploded into a deep crater, the air itself roared!

An audible crack was heard from Yuer's leg. 'NO!' Yuer winced, feeling herself let off.

Elaine noticed that...

Elaine quickly parried Yuer's leg downward, and Yuer came leaning forward.

In that span of time, Elaine released her armor. She quickly twisted, sending a kick up to Yuer's chin.

BOOM

Elaine wasn't finished, she spun again, the other leg hitting the same spot.

Yuer was lifted upwards, dazed, unable to respond. Elaine quickly utilized her telekinesis, shooting her own body, drop kicking Yuer right onto the stomach, sending her straight back into the destroyed guild hall.

Yuer slammed through the walls and chairs, laid out on the floor, "what… the hell? How is she this strong?? Did we miscalcula—"

Yuer came to a pause, feeling the entire building shake like an earthquake had hit. But that's when she noticed something. The ground from outside, it looked lower…

Elaine gnashed her teeth, hands raised as if she was lifting thousands of pounds. Translucent aura surrounding the huge guild hall. Elaine was raising the entire place!!

Yuer growled, "what is she doing?? Why the hell would she lift this whole building??!"

Before Yuer could do anything, the guild hall was sent flying up into the air. Yuer stumbled a bit, weakened, tired, trying to gain her balance, "is she trying to make this building crash with me in it?? That's not gonna take me down!"

Just as Yuer moved to act, a flash of light above made her look up. She stared at a translucent sphere swirling with cherry-colored energy as it tore down through the clouds at well beyond the speed of sound.

"...she didn't..." Yuer said in disbelief, watching it descend with a wolf-like howl before it slammed into her, too fast for her to react.

KA—BOOM!!!

The explosion was colossal. Chunks of the guild hall blasted outward, the city shook, and the clouds split into a vast ring as a mushroom of smoke climbed into the sky. Below it all, Elaine stood motionless, watching the destruction above as sunlight glinted down on her.

"I... I did it..." Elaine exhaled shakily as she dropped to one knee. "I can't believe I beat her… I thought I was done for."

That's when something clicked in Elaine's little head.

The entire guilds been destroyed.

They came to get the products from said guild…

Everything they need is gone too!!

Elaine slapped her small hands onto the sides of her head, "OH MY MALERENZ!!! I DESTROYED EVERYTHING!!!!" Elaine screamed, close to pulling out her own hair. "Mei Mei's gonna kill me…"—Elaine paused— "Mei Mei!! I gotta help!!"

Elaine quickly turned tail, running out of the broad yard, past the threshold of the gate.

"Hang on Mei, I'm coming!"

***

Deeper in the city, not far from where the guild is located. Skysin stood atop a tower, a hand propped over his forehead as he gazed at the gigantic aftermath of the explosion.

Skysin whistled, "damn! Elaine really dropped the ball on her ass."

"PAY ATTENTION YOU SCRAWNY BASTARD!!" A man had yelled, above Skysin, falling right towards him. Capreece brought his fist back, sending it right to the speedster.

The tower broke down in one punch as Capreece flew right through the destruction and smoke. "Did I get 'em?" Capreece asked himself, until he felt a pair of feet atop his head.

Skysin was standing on his head like some kind of bird.

"GET OFF ME!!"

Skysin shrugged, and pushed his legs down, leaping as he kicked Capreece straight to the ground.

"Stop moving, dammit!!" Capreece quickly straightened himself back into stance.

A blur of blue flashed before him. Skysin hopped onto Capreece's chest as if the man was a brick wall and kicked his foot forward right onto his chin.

Capreece shuffled back a bit, as if fighting the urge to fall asleep.

Skysin stood, nonchalant, tapping his own head, "don't blame me. It's not my fault you're slow as hell."

Capreece wiped blood from the corner of his lips, "gonna turn you into meat paste."

"Ouch…"

Aura exploded from Capreece's body as he prepared for his next attack.

Skysin, however, was only chuckling in his thoughts. 'That's right…keep getting angry. Makes it easier to deal with ya.'

Capreece rushed Skysin like a rhinoceros, hooking a fist forward.

Skysin ducked under and uppercuts Capreece's chin, but that hardly even slowed the giant of a man. Capreece opened his large arms, wide, like a bear about to grapple with its prey.

But Skysin dipped from Capreece's sights just as he arms enclosed, the air slightly shaking from such minimal movement.

Skysin swept a foot to Capreece's ankle, sending the guy up like a magician, levitating into the air. Skysin spun with a heavy punch, striking Capreece onto the gut. Capreece flew, spiraling through multiple buildings as if he was a wrecking ball, tearing them down.

"How was that, FAT MAN?!"

Skysin made strange tribal-like noises with each slap he made on his defined, yet not large biceps.

He is pretty scrawny.

Rubble and rock began to shake wildly, catching Skysin's undivided attention.

Capreece leapt into the air from the distance, holding two large boulders. Silent, Capreece threw those things like baseballs, incoming to Skysin.

Skysin clicked his tongue, and made a wide, thick wall of ice sprout with quickness, blocking them both. However, Capreece didn't let off. Landing onto the ground, the man charged towards the blockade of frigidness, running his fist through it with ease, breaking it all down!

Skysin hastily raised his arms as Capreece's fist slammed against them. The very wave of power demolishing multiple buildings behind them.

Skysin sweated, his forearms burning in pain. Capreece's physical power was no joke. Skysin's chaotic art, Kitsune Ice, isn't the average element whatsoever. Kitsune Ice itself is harder than steel!

Skysin chuckled, his eyes crinkling as he looked up to Capreece "…uh—Nice hi—"

Capreece didn't waste a second, his big hands swiping Skysin from his ankles, swinging him around like child throwing a tantrum with their doll. Capreece growled, and threw Skysin straight into the ground, dirt and rock flying across the air.

Standing over the deepened crater, Capreece noticed a cold, chilled feeling on his body. He looked down, gazing at frigid ice creeping along his arms and legs, slowly. Like an army of snow-colored ants crawling over him.

"The hell is going on??!" Capreece tried swiping, slapping, and punching it off. But as ice broke apart, more would come.

"Here, let me help."

Capreece's breath was caught, hastily turning around to see nothing.

Capreece suddenly felt something smite his nose, cheek, neck, chest, stomach! Capreece was getting attacked from every single angle. He couldn't see anything though, it was like the wind itself was his enemy!

"How…fast is this kid?" Capreece asked himself. But his anger was only growing by the millisecond. How's he supposed to fight something he can't see?!

"ENOUGH!!!" Capreece swung out his arm as he spun forward, banishing the smoke that covered the area.

And all he came to see was Skysin, standing fifty meters away from him. Indifferent. Only those sharp, violet eyes staring at him. It looked as if Skysin didn't even have a mouth from how low he gazed.

Capreece laughed, "of course. Why wouldn't a little roach like you be damaged from getting thrown around?!"

Skysin remained silent.

"Why so quiet now? Speak you little shit! Seems like you always got something to say!"

Skysin extended his arm, pointing to Capreece, "I'm not over here."

"…What?" Capreece asked aloud, uncertain. He's literally staring right at Skysin. What else could the little roach mean?

It wasn't until Capreece noticed a cold palm touch his chest. Caprecce looked down, staring at Skysin, smiling right at him.

Wait…?

Capreece looked up, then down.

Up and down again.

Where's the physics in this?

There's two of them.

Two Skysin's?

"See ya," Skysin gave a subtle wave, and a compressed blast of rays shot through Capreece with a blinding light.

There Capreece stood, frozen in solidified ice. Like some animal unfit for the arctic winds.

Skysin sighed, rubbing his neck, "jeez, you really almost had me for a sec'." Skysin patted down his clothing, and walked down the road, "I should check on Elaine to make sure she's alright too."—He paused— "Oh yeah."

With a snap of his fingers, Capreece's body broke down into thousands of snowflakes, drifting off with the wind.
