To manifest the Original Divine Position at this step is almost indispensable.
Because this is the part most closely connected to the Primal Spirit Realm for these Original Gods.
Of course, one can also choose not to manifest the Original Divine Position, but this would make it nearly identical to the most traditional Method of Transcendence.
And what is the traditional Method of Transcendence? It's the slow accumulation of Merit until one can completely resolve Karma.
However, the amount of Merit required by this method is extremely large, as it essentially takes away a part of the Law Origin from the world.
As we currently know, to this day, only one deity has successfully transcended using the Merit Method!
