Chapter 30 - Afterword (Volume 2)

The time has come to close this volume, dear readers. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

This volume focused more on getting to know and becoming interested in the new characters rather than the usual action. Therefore, for the next volume, since we already know them and no introductions or character development are needed, we will dive directly into the depth of the plot and the battles.

With this volume, we officially kick off the battle between the Phantom Troupe and Razel. Three of the Thirteen Swords have been defeated, and ten more remain to be taken down. Razel already has new allies, and more will come for the final volume to create a super final battle for my second spin-off.

Who was your favorite character?

Iris was my favorite character in Volume 1, but in this volume, they were Leonora, Briana, and Void. Leonora was clearly introduced near the end, but as a former assassin, she will have more relevance in the next volume. Remember, this is a short story, and we need to speed up the pace of events.

Briana is clearly a character who should appear in the main story because of her way of acting and being. But she lacks combat power, which is why she's here. Celia is the weakest character in the main story, and it's hard for anyone to take that spot from her.

About the other characters:

Erica is clearly the Mejiro McQueen of this work, and that's all that matters about her. Liddy is very cute; you can't demand anything more from cuteness than that.

The princesses finally got more screen time, but I still feel it falls short. I'll have to see what I do next time, because I wasn't satisfied with the result.

Sharon and the other two mature women fell for Razel; he certainly has a gift for that kind of woman.

Connor turned out to be a great guy — a shame he's a secondary character with little relevance, like Cyril. I wish the story weren't so short; then they would have more weight.

Gilbert and Zack managed to become Razel's new "friends," like capture targets after their beating.

Regarding Iris, she finally revealed her illness to Razel, and the countdown to her end has begun. How will she end up by the conclusion of the story?

Now let's move on to the most interesting part: the Phantom Troupe! Little information has been given about them, and they are the main pillar of this story; we will get to know them as they appear.

Of the three members, Voldo is the second strongest character, since his magic is an instakill through and through. If it weren't for the fact that Razel is the punching bag of this story, he would have died with the first blow. Didn't you find someone who can twist you just by pointing at you ridiculously dangerous? In case anyone suspected, it's a reference to the snails from JoJo Part 6, but without the weather, as well as a reference to Uzumaki by Junji Ito.

Void, for me, was the real danger of this volume. He became a monster despite being an ordinary human; if it weren't for Skull, he would still be normal, but now he's become an aberration. Exactly who is Skull, and how did he accomplish that?

And finally, Sting. The most irrelevant character, but he left behind one of the greatest mysteries of this work: what, in the name of God, was that rabbit? That animal was so surreal, so mysterious, and even more so the word he used: "Territory." What mystery will now invade Razel's bizarre life with things that are not part of the game?

And with that, I end my words of this volume to you. I hope you enjoyed it, and I'll see you in Volume 3, which represents the halfway point of this story.

Also, Volume 9 of the main story is on its way, and you won't believe what's coming and the plot twists.

Until next time in: Reincarnated in an Otome game as a background character — Spin-off Volume 3.
