"Angelo, prepare the order for their banishment from these lands immediately. No pack shall take them in, and if they do, they will bear my wrath," Iskander commanded, his voice echoing with absolute authority.
With the matter settled, he closed the gap between himself and Yohana.
"We need to talk, Your Majesty," Yohana stated.
Kylee had already loosened her desperate grip on Yohana's feet, weeping in quiet relief. Turning on her heel, Yohana walked out of the chamber. Alvaro stepped forward, desperate to speak with his sister, but Iskander stopped him with a single, warning look.
"Later."
With that short dismissal, the King followed Yohana outside. She had stopped on the open stone terrace of the second floor, looking out over the palace grounds.
"You are still weak. I explicitly told you to rest," Iskander said as he approached her.
