He tried to suppress a frown in vain, feeling his lips curl downward despite his best efforts. He jostled the fox spirit gently and strode down the hallway to their room. Ahead of him, Hu Lijing walked briskly as if he was in a race, and kicked the door open without a ripple on his face.
It was almost funny, if not the tension charging the air around them.
