Chapter 162 - Home

As I had been reminded more than enough times, for someone who'd been shot, I was incredibly lucky. After close to three weeks spent at the hospital, mostly in the company of Hina who still refused to go to work, I was finally discharged. 

"Long time no see, Ema," I said as I got into the passenger seat of the SUV.

Ema, sitting on the driver's seat, looked at me, nodded, gave me a smile, and extended her right hand. 

A handshake?

I took it without thinking much about it, although I was a little confused—

And I immediately regretted it as tears of pain burst out. 

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!"

I screamed as she let go of my hand, only after having brutally twisted my wrist. 

"For putting Miss in danger," she said, coldly. 

"Ema! Sin SAVED me!" 

Hina came to my rescue from back seat, protesting. 

"And that's why I got this as well," Ema said with a chuckle, turned, and fetched a wooden box from behind.

"Eh? What is this?"

"Open it up and see."
