Ben and Vincent look behind at the cornfields only to see that the noise has stopped. "Don't worry, Vincent, it must be a wild raccoon or another wild animal moving around in the cornfield," exclaims Ben. Henry moves away from the cornfield towards the bulldog animatronics and signals to Ben to check it out. "It has been a long time since I took a photo here," said Ben. "I didn't expect you would like these kinds of places." "Well, I remember coming here a lot when I was a kid, mostly because the pizza was the best here in town then." Vincent put a quarter into the animatronics' right paw and then positioned himself in an excellent place to take the photo. Five seconds later, a light flashed from the animatronic mouth, and a photo came from the output tray. Vincent grabbed the photo and saw that it was of pretty good quality, but one in the background caught Vincent's eye. It was a tail pointing skyward in the cornfield. It looked like it belonged to a reptile but had feathers like a bird. Vincent couldn't tell the colour of the tail since it was dark outside at this point. If Vincent could give a guess, it was dark brown in colour, but it was just a guess.
Vincent handed the photo to Ben to look at while staring at the cornfield, now swaying back and forth in the wind. Ben seemed shocked at first, for he had seen it in the photo, but just chalked it up to lousy photo quality from the animatronics old age. Since Kosaku created it in 1993, it was most likely a wild animal that showed up in the photo as a blur in the dark of night. Ben rushes over to their police car, with Vincent following close behind, as they don't want to anger whatever animal is there. After clocking out, they arrived 10 at their favourite pizza shop, Joshu Pizza. They stayed there for about an hour before leaving. Vincent arrived home at 9:00 pm and was greeted by his cousin Samuel, who pulled in around the same time. They lived together, so they both went inside to have coffee and then went to bed. They lived in Vincent's childhood home, which Vincent's father sold to Samuel a year ago when he moved to California to open a new facility for his successful pharmacist business. Vincent's dad offered to bring Vincent to California, but Samuel said it wasn't necessary. Vincent was in his last year of high school, so it made sense for him to stay here. Vincent took the latter and decided to stay in the town he had grown attached to. Even after finishing high school, Vincent decided to stay here, with Samuel's permission. The next day, Vincent was woken up earlier than usual by Samuel making his homemade pancakes, so the two went downstairs to eat. Henry said as the two sat down to eat, "What's the special occasion, Samuel?"
"Well, Vincent, I got the raise I keep asking for, so I decided we should celebrate today," said Samuel. "I guess it makes sense since we usually get breakfast from Platinum Fast Foods on Thursday," said Vincent. "Oh, Vincent, I received a phone call from your dad saying he has a small side job for you from November 12th to December 11th on weekends. Dad would pay you 5k for the work if you wanted to take it. He says he will phone later at 8:30 pm tomorrow to give extra details if you are interested," said Samuel. "5K; Dad must be in a hurry if he is going to pay that much for a job; I wonder what job it is," said Vincent. Samuel agreed with Henry on that point while finishing up his breakfast. After cleaning the dishes, both got ready for their respective jobs. Samuel was a technician, leaving for work earlier than Vincent at 8:20 am.
On the other hand, Vincent leaves for work 40 minutes later at 9:00 am. As Vincent was about to open his car door, he noticed his neighbour's car pulled into their driveway on the right. Vincent waved to them once they came out of their car, then got into their car, where he noticed another case of favouritism. Since Vincent and Samuel would get breakfast outside every Thursday, they would sometimes see the family at the restaurant and come home. They have one older daughter who is 19 years old. She was the same age as Vincent, while the other two kids were around 12 and 14. The neighbour had lived here for four years, so Vincent and Samuel often saw them. Vincent would see that the 14-year-old was spoiled as he held two bags and excitedly talked about having gotten two meals. The 10-year-old, on the other hand, had just one bag. At first, he and Samuel thought nothing of it, but it kept happening. It even happens in different forms, like with toys, snacks, and ice cream. It became so blatant from how often we would see them come with stuff, as they usually come home around the same time as us, well, except for the daughter. Vincent and Samuel didn't say anything because it wasn't our business and because the mom was known throughout the neighbourhood to have quite a temper. They didn't want to deal with it, and they were part of a cult called Orca. Vincent just sighed as he turned on his car and left for work. It was a 15-minute drive to arrive at the police station. However, it was still early, so Vincent decided to grab a coffee along the way. Once he arrived at the police station, he noticed a familiar car parked in the visitor area. It was the car that belonged to the parents who lost their kids yesterday; as he saw it, Vincent hoped that everything was alright with the kids. Vincent entered the building to look for his partner, Ben, and found him in his office, looking over some documents. One of the document's names caught Vincent's eye: The Ribbon Killer.
