Time passed.
The Devine Couple, Edmond and Evangeline, lived peacefully in their realms.
With the connections they placed on the angels and demons, they could observe the goings on with no trouble.
They saw how each differed in their interactions and decisions.
The angels were kind to each other and more connected while the demons were cruel to each other and less communicable.
Sometime after their observations, Edmond decided that he would try to spur a connection to a Universal Rule with Evangeline.
They talked endlessly about any personal beliefs or ideals.
Edmond learned more about the life of the woman he loved and was surprised to hear the continuous cycles that she went through.
It turned out that Evangeline was practically worshipped since her birth.
She grew up spoiled by her family which had exactly zero girls born into it for generations.
Her father's side was the one with no girls and his mother's side lived far away as she moved when she was old enough.
As she grew up, it only introduced others to the majesty of her being.
She was fawned over by the girls and crushed on by the boys in school and even the teachers were bewitched by her charm.
She was good at everything she did and every action of hers was elegant.
Her life was entirely different from Edmond's, yet here they were together in new bodies with powers she never could have imagined having.
At first, she had no idea what Universal Rule she could wield, but after exploring every avenue with Edmond there was one pure belief she had: she was blessed to live the pampered life she had.
This was a breakthrough considering there was not much else that Evangeline got to experience outside of always being around others who at the very least liked her.
Edmond told her to hold onto that belief and use it with the angels that she now ruled over.
Ever since their announcement to the angels, she never interacted with them and only watched as they harvested and reared spirit beasts.
The same went for Edmond, but he figured that something had to change if they were officially going to achieve what Barter's Ruler had accomplished.
They both had armies at their disposal.
As long as sufficient souls were born to their realms, they could harness the power of their denizens.
The angels did not know much outside of peace, but the demons were violent by nature.
It would take time to get the angels properly trained and geared, but for the demons, all he would have to do is make them submit with his insurmountable power.
He even thought to introduce the two races to each other in order to forcefully create a training scenario, but that was for another time.
The angels and demons were quite literally polar opposites so it would take an effort to get them to stand side by side in unison without killing each other.
Putting that matter aside, Edmond also gauged Evangeline's combat standards as she primarily used her radiant weapons and shields to attack and defend.
Aside from those uses, she found out that her power could heal herself and others a bit differently from Edmond's own holy flame.
The radiant light took a person's soul and restored another's cells and tissue according to the blueprint the soul came with.
It made it so that missing limbs would not be lost forever even if healed over.
Edmond's flame was not nearly as precise at healing, so she could also support outside of attacking.
There was one day where the day was ending and the couple were getting settled into bed when Evangeline became more forceful.
She kissed him slightly before fully making out with him as their bodies heated up.
As they separated, they looked each other in the eyes as if scanning for words told only by the eyes.
Neither of them spoke, but they moved to strip each other before embracing each other.
Moments felt like hours as they locked lips and explored each other's bodies.
Edmond made sure to tread carefully as he knew her past was riddled with sexual abuse, but the more he showed reluctance, the more Evangeline took the lead.
She basked in the feeling of her most tender parts being taken care of by the one she cared for.
Her figure shone as she lost herself in the pleasure as she let out soft moans letting Edmond know to press forward.
Edmond did not quite know what was happening as he too was losing himself in the moment, but in the back of his mind he noted the reaction.
At this point, he was kissing her on every part of her body feeling comforted by her dim light.
Something was happening, but the two tossed it out of mind and were moving to the final base.
Evangeline laid back and prepared herself for the next step.
Seeing as the invitation was given, Edmond climbed atop Evangeline and kissed her softly while getting ready.
When he ended the kiss to look at her once more, he was enthralled by Evangeline.
It was as if she was getting more and more beautiful as the moments passed.
Without even noticing the pause in her treatment, Evangeline was lost in the feeling of something arising within herself.
Her radiant body was manifesting a power unbeknownst to the two of them.
She was suddenly gaining control of her own Universal Rule!
Edmond could hardly care about such a thing, however.
He could not resist her in that moment as she was the most dazzling she had ever been.
While intertwined in their passionate embrace, the two subconsciously resonated between their Universal Rules.
The Universal Rule Evangeline had power over was Enchantment which made it so that she gained power when successfully enchanting someone.
Not only did she appear more attractive and alluring to those under her spell, but her appearance could also change based on the preference of the enchanted.
Edmond's own Universal Rule of Harmony was not simply about the balance between the nature of things like positivity and negativity.
It expressed the fact that for every action there was a corresponding reaction that befitted it.
He had done bad things in his past which resulted in him being reincarnated as a lowly imp.
Though it was so, he had still put in the work to better himself and his students which eventually led to him meeting Evangeline, his angel.
She was the one thing that kept him sane while he wandered the Demonic Realm and gave him a reason to fight.
She more than made enough of a positive impact in his otherwise lonely life.
After accumulating the benefits from helping save and protecting Evangeline, his rule was subtly influencing her.
What occurred after the action made her strive to become his equal.
The quickest answer was to master a Universal Rule, and it seemed she had reached a precipice after Edmond's assistance.
All due to the warm embrace of her lover was she able to manifest a fitting rule.
