(1953. Years in world - 5,953.)
Standing in front of a mirror, I straightened my clothes, brushing a hand down the front of my sweater.
"You look fine, Dear." Rosalie said, walking into our shared bathroom, stopping next to me.
At the moment, I was wearing khaki dress pants with dress shoes and a white button up shirt under a long sleeve black sweater. "I know. I just want to make a good impression." I said, turning to put my arms around her waist, leaning down to give her a soft kiss.
"Careful now, mister. Don't want you messing up my makeup." Rosalie chuckled, pushing me playfully away.
Just like myself, Rosalie went for more of a refined look.
Skipping anything flashy, she went for matt colors.
As if that would help her stick out any less.
Her skirt was black and reached just below her knees with a dark green short sleeve button up top.
She filled her outfit out perfectly. Her hourglass physique was undoubtedly going to send many highschool kids crazy.
"Mom! Dad! We're going to be late!" Liam yelled from down stairs.
"You heard him. Get to marchin." Rosalie told me jokingly, grabbing her small makeup bag from our bathroom counter.
"Ma'am yes Ma'am!" I said sarcastically, shooting her a salute as I turned and walked into our room.
Walking to our bed, I grabbed two stacks of books, holding them to my chest as Rosalie opened our room door.
Carlisle had gotten a list of needed books and textbooks when he enrolled us in the school.
We bought all of them when we went to Seattle to buy new clothes for school.
Making our way down stairs, we were greeted by the rest of the family standing around the front door, waiting for us.
"Good morning, Everyone!" I said chipperly.
"It's about time." Emmett said with a chuckle, "What were the two of you doing? Getting an early morning quickie in before school?" He asked, ignoring the slap to his arm from Evelyn.
"Let's not talk about that." Rosalie said, shooting daggers at Emmett as she gestured with her head at Liam who was standing in the middle of the group, confused as to what a "Quickie" was.
As Liam opened his mouth to ask, I was already interrupting him, "That's for a later conversation, Son. When you are much older." I said, pushing through the group to make it to the front door and open it.
"Let's get a move on folks. Don't want to be late on our first day now do we?"
Everyone who was going filed out the door, heading to the two cars parked in front of the house.
Turning to face Carlisle, Esme, and Evelyn, I gave them a quick head nod before I closed the door.
They had a busy day ahead themselves.
Carlisle was going to be starting this afternoon at Fork hospital, and Evelyn will be going on a tour of Seattle's colleges to pick which one she will be going to.
Going down the steps, I jogged to Rosalie's all white 1950 Cadillac, hopping into the front seat.
In the backseats were Liam and Edward.
Emmett, Alice, and Jasper in the roadmaster behind us.
The middle school was on the way to the highschool, so we would just be dropping him off on our way.
Pulling into the main road into town, I spoke up.
"Do all of you still remember our cover story?" I asked, focusing mostly on Liam, knowing Rosalie and Edward already had it down pat.
"yes." Liam said exasperated.
"Then remind me." I said, turning to look at him.
"I am your younger brother. We are the Greys, Carlisle's nephews. Mom and Jasper are brother and sister, the Hails, while aunt Alice and Emmett are brother and sister, with the last name Cullen. Edward is an only child, also with the last name Cullen. We were all adopted by Carlisle and Esme but only you and I are blood related to them."
I smiled, "Very good." I said, turning back to face forward in my seat.
The way all of that was decided was from who looked like who.
Since Liam looked like me with his hair and eye color, it was decided he would be my younger brother.
The same went for the others.
Alice and Emmett with their black air could pass as siblings, while Jasper and Rosalie with their blonde hair could.
Edward was on his own, having a brownish red hair color.
Pulling into the middle school's parking lot, Emmetts roadmaster continued on to the highschool, not waiting for us.
"Have a good day, Hun." Rosalie said as Liam opened his door to step out.
"See you at four." I said, just as Liam closed the door.
We watched as he walked towards the front doors of the school.
The other kids milling around the front of the school stared as he walked, never having seen someone with white hair before.
"I hope nothing bad happens. I remember how some kids can be from when I went to school." Rosalie said sadly, putting her car back in drive.
"I guess we will find out when we pick him up." I said as Rosalie pulled back onto the road.
"But what if something happens and he does something."
"I highly doubt he would do anything. We've practically raised him with the mentality of Superman. If anything he would do something to protect someone from the bully's then do something if he was bullied."
Edward chuckled from the backseat, agreeing with me.
It didn't take long to reach the highschool, which wasn't the one I barely remembered from the movies, but was much smaller and a lot more run down.
It was a two story brick building with windows going along the outside, spaced out evenly all the way across.
Pulling into the packed parking lot, we parked next to Emmet's car, which was all the way at the edge of the parking lot, just by the exit.
Stepping out of our cars, I grabbed my and Rosalie's books.
"It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be." Emmett said as he closed his car door.
"Eh. For the town's population I would say it's about right. Except it looks like it was built in the mid 1800s."
"It does, doesn't it."
"Come on guys, we have to stop in at the front office to get our class schedules." Alice said, sounding like she was about to explode with giddiness as she grabbed hold of Jasper's arm.
We all laughed at Alice's joy as we started walking.
As we walked, I noticed as the heads of highschools turned to watch us walk, most of them waited until the last moments to head in for class, causing half of the school to still be in the parking lot talking with each other as we walked.
"Weird." Emmett muttered under his breath, trying to seem unfazed by all of the attention.
"Get used to it." I muttered back, walking confidently forward as Rosalie wrapped an arm around mine, clearly marking her territory to all the girls we passed.
Reaching the front doors, I was amazed to see that the inside of the school looked much better than the outside, like they actually tried to make it look acceptable.
The office was easy to find, where we were all given a piece of paper with our classes.
I was happy to see that there wouldn't be a class where one of the family wasn't with me.
I was extra happy to see that two of the classes would have me and Rosalie together.
World history and biology.
Thankfully Jasper wouldn't be left alone either.
There wouldn't be a class he would have where one of us could keep an eye on him.
But with Alice, we would know before anything happened.
