Chapter 14 - Age Of Saeculum: Rise Of Man - Chapter Fourteen

My leg has more or less healed after she drank in my blood in less than a few hours. I spent the next hour trying to figure out how and why my body could heal that fast. Only medical-grade nanomachines could heal wounds I sustained, but they took days, not hours. Thinking back, it was the same the first time. My wounds healed a lot more than I should have. If it takes around forty hours for the night, I estimate my body will fully heal at this rate. Something that would have left me on crutches for a few weeks, not counting the hospital stay. Aphanea walks over to my side. She looks over my leg, and her touch excites me. My body reacts and betrays me with every sensual touch from her. I try to hide my arousement, but it's useless. She notices my erect penis but senses my nervousness. If she wanted, she could have enticed me just with her eyes. Aphanea focuses her attention back on my leg, despite my erect penis, but I can see her blushing. My attention must be unusual for such a woman as herself. The intense attention she receives from a male is unaccustomed to her. 'I must do her justice and give her the attention she deserves. I will make her shyness vanish.' She looks at me with a smile.

"Come… you must adjust the weight of your body to your leg," Aphanea instructs.

She helps me get up off the bed. Now that I was putting all my weight on the leg, it didn't hurt. As I thought, I've made a full recovery in record time. Whether it was because of her medicine or her drinking, my blood didn't matter at the moment to me, not one bit. She led me outside through the narrow passage. A cave nestled at the base of a moderately sized hill. I hold no doubt that there are many spots like this around here. Aphanea took careful steps as we walked to ensure I never lost my balance. In between listening to the sounds surrounding us, the lamia kept an ear out. I found I could not help myself. I had to admire her robust physique. A sensual aurora radiates from this woman because of her elegance. The way she moves her body is addictively hypnotic. She is so careful in her footsteps, almost tiptoeing across the Earth. I wanted her again, but restraining myself became more difficult every moment. Putting my mind on something else would have to do.

"What is a Lamia???" I whispered, looking at her.

She stops for a moment, then turns to me. I can tell she is still quite reluctant to talk about her heritage.

"We are… serpent-like. Many of your kind would describe me as a cross between a half man and half serpent. Many of the tribes of man fear us. That is what I am," she whispered.

"But you look human…," I whispered.

"Hmm, it is more complicated than I care to admit…," she countered.

"Then show me…," I asked.

She turns away from me. I stare at her bottom and the curves of her back. The alluring and supple woman before me makes my body tremble. It's like her body commands that I take her succulent body. The desire is so strong my mind feels overwhelmed. Her hips, thighs, and legs are mathematically proportional to the millimeter. She looks back at me, and her face turns red. My sudden fixation causes her to look down at the ground. I hobble closer to her. With one hand, I touch her face and hold her chin up. A strange sensation spreads through her porcelain pale facial complexion, turning her skin red as an apple as I look into her eyes.

"Whatever you are is good enough for me," I whispered.

Aphanea held my hand against her face for a long moment. As her face turns a stunning array of reds, she displays her many emotions. I can tell this must be difficult for her to reveal to me. A moment later, she steps back. She kneels to the ground and spins. I am witness to a miracle before my eyes. The lower part of her body becomes snake-like and elongates. Her snake-like body coils around her body as her height grows to nine feet. Her scales are pure white and pristine as her body. The curves of her upper body become more pronounced and curvaceous as her melon-sized breast grows several cups larger. She slithers around in a circle, allowing me to see every angle of her succulent body.

Her snake-like body begins just below her bountiful bottom. Where her legs would be, her butt appears to turn into a snake. The mere sight of her bottom causes my penis to become more erect than it has throughout my entire life. This woman has awakened a sleeping dragon of passion within me. Only a few women in my life can cause me to feel such lust. A rattler made of a white crystal makes up the end of her long body. I gasp as I gaze upon her incredible body. No fantasy from my world could prepare me for the sheer realistic attractiveness that is Aphanea. She is breathtaking in all her elegance. To me, she is perfect. I've never seen such a beautiful creature in my life. She is nothing like the monster that nearly killed me.

'If this world can produce such a wonder like Aphanea. What else could exist here?' She turns back to me, and I see her blushing as if she fears my reactions. She opens her mouth to talk, but her tongue escapes, and she hisses like a snake. My heart flutters at how long her tongue is. She looks away, but I don't. There is no way not to take in everything she has to offer. I let out another gasp. It is intoxicating to see her in her true form. I can feel the sexual overdrive rush through my blood. My body reacts, and she notices. I feel as if my blood is boiling, and my skin feels as if it's on fire. My flesh slowly emits steam. My breathing becomes steady as I stare into her brilliant eyes. She looks at me more carefully.

"You are not afraid?" Aphanea asked.

"No… not in the slightest," I said.

But I must tell you this. "I don't know if I can control myself after this,"

"Which form do you prefer?" she questioned.

"Both…," I answered.

It was the only answer I could give. There is a look of surprise and confusion on Aphanea's face. She rattles her tail slightly. For a long time, I watched her consider my words as if she didn't understand them. Then, finally, her gaze returns to me as she makes another confused expression.

"I do not understand?" she whispered.

"I understand. You're not from my world, so it is difficult, seeing as humanity here is skittish. I assure you, I am using all my willpower to hold back. The sight of your... body is overwhelming. I have to say... I am not that confident I could hold back for much longer. Something has changed within me. I feel myself losing control. Aphanea, I need you to be mine... I want you to be... I don't know how else to say it," I said, stumbling over my words as I held her gaze.

Her smile of joy is priceless. She nods at me before reverting to her human form in an elegant twirl, but it is a sight to behold. I can see the glow radiating off her skin. My words filled her with joy she barely knew. She rushes over to me with wide eyes, as if no one has not spoken such positive comments to her. I place my hands on her cheeks.

"What else can you do?" I whispered.

"I… I have the curse of sorcery. So my tribe says. Many among my tribe fear it," she said, averting my gaze.

"Sorcery? As in magic?" I questioned.

She looks back at me, confused.

"Yes… Do you have magic in your world?" Aphanea said.

I smile at her.

"Yes, in a sense. We call it technology or science. But I don't think it is anything like what you can do. My world can only dream of what you can do," I said.

I see the excitement in her eyes. 'Has no one ever asked to see her magic?'

"Do you trust me?" she said.

"Totally…," I said.

She wraps her arms around me and then whispers something in the language I first heard her speak. I feel a wave of air surrounding us. A second later, we were floating off the ground, slowly rising. We were levitating, just like in a movie. 'Is this possible here? Magic changes everything.' Even though it was only for a moment, it was perfect. Through her, I saw a whole other world of possibilities. I did not need to be the strong, silent, tough guy with her. I felt safe with this woman. No longer did I need to hide the real me. During my life, I have been the brute to everyone who met me except my parents or Sheriff Orkan. No one else even thought to see me. This woman didn't see a beast among men or a towering giant to be feared. This woman saw me and only me. That is something that I have never experienced before.

"Good God, you are more wondrous than any woman I have met. Only a few can even come close to your marvels," I said, looking down at the ground.

"Hard to believe from a man like you. How can I catch your eye?" she whispers into my ear.

"There are many aspects of you that draw me to you. I cannot explain it. Only a few people have caused me to act this way, but it is you who have awakened it. I believe you are the key. To what, I cannot say at this time," I whispered, looking into her eyes.

"Yes… I can feel that too. I've never had someone look at me in such a way as you."

"Well, if you were in my world, you'd receive more attention than anyone," I explained.

She looks into my eyes.

"Come… There is more I must show you," the lamia woman said, smiling.

Aphanea is the perfect independent woman. She showed me the land and all its secrets. This woman, who had no reason to save me, has instructed me on all the places where I can find or gather food. During that day, she took me to every location I could find clean water sources, edible plants, and places where herbs grow in abundance. Things I would never have known were there just by looking. I saw creatures that lived here. As with any animal from my world, those raptor-like creatures are numerous. The dead forest is alive if you know where to look. This cursed land is the place the people of Pineford now find themselves in, but it's more than a cursed land in her eyes. Aphanea took me to all her secret places, the traps she relies on for food, and her early warning systems. In the back of my mind, I knew this knowledge would be the key to our survival. Her life was simple in retrospect, despite all the dangers. Yet I knew something she kept from me was weighing her mind. My intuition tells me the source of her anguish is a grave danger she is reluctant to say to me. I know it has a relation to that monster.

Hours of gathering food and other resources left our bags full. But, as I look around, I notice something different. The lamia woman looks and hesitates.

"A tribe lived there once…," she whispered.

I study her face as she looks at the shattered mess. A feeling of abandonment permeated the place. Whoever these people were didn't leave by choice if they still lived. I go over to investigate. An assortment of broken things lay undisturbed, save for the elements. A battle happened here, a small one, but a struggle nonetheless. The remains of bones told me they were human. I could do nothing more here. Best to let those that have passed on rest in peace. Aphanea held out her hand, and I took it. A light twinkles in my eyes. Something was stuck on the ground. I see a massive sword sticking upright from the dirt near a rock. 'This was a warrior's last stand.' The blade was a work of art—a giant cleaver sword. It would take a man my size to even lift this. I grab the hilt of the sword. As I thought, it was heavy. The average man of my world couldn't even lift this.

I pull it from the dried Earth. A feeling of power emitted from it. The weight was just right for me. I grip the hilt with both hands and hold it out.

"It suits you. The sword has chosen you as its new master…," she whispered.

"How do you know that?" I asked.

"I can feel its power…," she said.

She finds an old rope and helps make a sling for the blade. I found the sheath close to it. Aphanea looks around the site while I adjust the rope a little more. I hear her gasp. She digs at a pile of dirt near where I found the sword. Two large golden rings lay half-buried. I notice a smaller version of the massive sword with the ground covering its blade. One made for a woman, I assumed.

"Are those… crowns?" I asked.

"Yes… a king and a queen…," she whispered. "Once, long ago, many kingdoms called this land their home," she revealed.

She takes both crowns in her hands, picks up the smaller sword, then places them in her rucksack. There was nothing left here. Aphanea looks up at the sky. Her eyes convey its time to return. We'd already gathered an abundant bounty, as she would say.
