After changing his clothes, Fu Yinxiu went downstairs to the dining room and saw Little Jingshi munching on a sandwich.
"Dad, you were drunk last night!" Little Jingshi said as soon as he saw Fu Yinxiu.
"Who brought me back?" Fu Yinxiu sat down and was served a cup of honey by Aunt Huo.
Little Jingshi, chewing on a vegetable salad, said, "It was Alpha Guard 1."
Fu Yinxiu understood and picked up his sandwich, but then Little Jingshi continued, "Dad, do you know? You were so drunk last night that you were talking nonsense when you got back."
Fu Yinxiu snorted in disbelief and ignored him.
Little Jingshi rolled his eyes and said, "Dad, don't be skeptical. Alpha Guard 1 helped you back and you were mumbling the whole way. You kept saying not to let Tong Tong leave you and that she should come back quickly, and you kept apologizing."
Fu Yinxiu glanced sideways at Little Jingshi. He was half-believing the first part but found it hard to believe the last part.
How could he possibly say sorry!
It wasn't like he did something wrong and needed to apologize to Ming Yutong!
"You also said that you weren't angry anymore and that Tong Tong should stay away from other men," Little Jingshi added. "Dad, I'm telling the truth. You were really saying all that when you were drunk, and you kept holding my hand, asking for Tong Tong to come back and be a mom."
"Heh," Fu Yinxiu said dismissively.
After breakfast, Alpha Guard 3 and Alpha Guard 4 took Little Jingshi to school, and Fu Yinxiu went to the company.
During the drive, he sat in the back seat of the car and suddenly asked Alpha Guard 1, "Did you bring me back last night?"

And he might have dreamt about Ming Yutong while drunk, which could explain his mumbling about her.

The first part was true, but the latter part was false.

Alpha Guard 1 hesitated for a moment before replying, "Miss Ming came to the bar to see you."
Alpha Guard 1 couldn't help but recall the bar manager's distressed face.
When he went in to pick up Fu Yinxiu, the manager was almost in tears, begging Alpha Guard 1 not to tell Fu Yinxiu, fearing that Fu Yinxiu would blame him.
But as Alpha Guard 1 was loyal to Fu Yinxiu, he naturally reported everything.
Fu Yinxiu's mouth twitched as he finally understood why his muscles were so sore.
Thinking that Ming Yutong had kicked him and even planned to kick him further, his face darkened.

In the evening, Fu Yinxiu left the company, and Alpha Guard 1 and Alpha Guard 2 stood by the car, waiting for him.
Fu Yinxiu, however, stood still in front of the car. Though puzzled, Alpha Guard 1 and Alpha Guard 2 quietly awaited Fu Yinxiu's decision.
After a while, Fu Yinxiu got into the car and said, "Go to the He Biyuan."
The car arrived downstairs at Ming Yutong's place, and Fu Yinxiu was about to get out and wait at Ming Yutong's home. After all, the door lock at her place meant nothing to him.
However, he saw Jiang Lulian standing at the entrance of Ming Yutong's building.

Had he really entered her home? This was really too much.

After waiting for about fifteen minutes, Fu Yinxiu saw Ming Yutong's Audi approaching and stopping when it saw Jiang Lulian. Ming Yutong then got out of the car.
Ming Yutong was surprised to find Jiang Lulian waiting at her doorstep. It made her feel a bit uncomfortable.
"What are you doing here?" Ming Yutong asked as she got out of the car and approached Jiang Lulian.
"I called you this morning to meet, but you refused, so I had no choice but to wait here," Jiang Lulian said with a smile.
Ming Yutong felt helpless and somewhat annoyed.
"But I already rejected you, and now you're blocking me at my door. It makes me uncomfortable," Ming Yutong said seriously, letting him know that she wasn't just being coy.
"I'm sorry," Jiang Lulian said sincerely, "I'm truly sorry for causing you trouble. But I still want to confirm if you're intentionally avoiding me."
Jiang Lulian sighed, "It seems that you are."
"Sorry," Ming Yutong said with genuine regret.
Jiang Lulian shook his head, "I'm not trying to force you or be persistent. I just want to understand your feelings."
"You... are quite good," Ming Yutong said, biting her lip, "In the past, my family introduced me to others, and you were among the best. Not in terms of family background, but your character—you're really a good person."
"Previously, you never clearly rejected women who showed interest in you and instead gave them mixed signals, creating hope. I didn't agree with that approach. However, I wasn't too angry because I had no romantic feelings towards you at that time. I just couldn't agree with your method."
