Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Dropping the Act? A Real Angel?

Gine finally couldn't hold it back anymore; tears welled up and rolled down her cheeks.

Bardock put his arm around his wife's shoulder and gave it a firm squeeze.

The two of them stood there for a long time, gazing at the starry sky in the direction where the now-invisible light had vanished.

The night wind swept across the wasteland, carrying away the last trace of warmth.

...

After Rez returned home, he went to bed early.

His residence was located on the outskirts of the Saiyan settlement. It was a detached building, and though simple, it was quite peaceful.

Lying in bed, he stared at the ceiling as Linoshi's figure surfaced in his mind.

That strange girl.

Is she really an Angel?

If so, what is she doing on Planet Vegeta?

With these questions in mind, Rez gradually drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, at the Royal Palace's training grounds.

Sunlight poured through the transparent dome above the training grounds, illuminating the entire area.

The surrounding walls were covered in battle scars; cracks and dents bore witness to countless intense clashes.

Rez gave Vegeta some brief guidance on his training.

In truth, it wasn't so much training as it was simply sparring with Vegeta.

Despite Vegeta being only five years old, his power level had grown by leaps and bounds, already reaching 15,000.

In fact, Vegeta's power level had already surpassed that of his father, King Vegeta.

Thump, thump, thump!

Vegeta unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks at Rez, his small figure darting through the air, every strike carrying a sharp, whistling wind.

Rez easily blocked all of Vegeta's attacks with his hands, his feet remaining rooted to the spot, a faint smile always on his face.

After several rounds of exchange, Vegeta stopped, landed steadily, and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Hmph, that's enough for today," Vegeta said coolly, his small face full of pride.

"Alright," Rez nodded slightly, appearing unassuming.

"But speaking of which, Rez, my power level has far exceeded yours now." Vegeta smiled triumphantly, tilting his chin up with a hint of provocation in his eyes.

"As expected of Prince Vegeta," Rez smiled, not minding at all.

"You are a genius warrior, and so am I. It's a pity your power level stopped increasing much after reaching 10,000." Vegeta sighed like a little adult, then glanced sideways at Rez with a hint of disappointment. "You've really let me down. I thought I would have a good rival in the future."

"Hahaha, yes, yes," Rez chuckled along, saying nothing more.

"In two days, I'll be heading out to battle. Do you want to come along?" Vegeta suddenly asked, his arms still crossed.

Rez's heart stirred.

Following Vegeta out to battle at this time was actually a good choice.

Familiar with the plot, Rez knew very well that there was a high chance of survival by following Vegeta.

There was no need to fight Frieza to the death right now.

Even if Frieza were truly eliminated, there was still Frieza's brother, Cooler.

Cooler's power level reached a staggering height of 470,000,000.

Planet Vegeta would still face the fate of destruction then.

"Sure, remember to call me," Rez nodded, agreeing.

"You're dismissed," Vegeta waved his hand at Rez, signaling that he could leave.

"Alright," Rez smiled, turned around, and flew out through the window.

Whoosh—

In the next moment, Rez accelerated and flew rapidly toward Star-Shattering Cliff.

Today, he would continue his training there, striving to raise his power level as soon as possible.

After all, only by raising his power level to 10 million could he escape the control of the Frieza Clan.

Otherwise, everything was just empty talk.

Star-Shattering Cliff was as desolate as ever.

Jagged rocks were everywhere, the astral winds howled, and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. Only the piercing sunlight beat down unobstructed, making every rock scorching hot.

When Rez appeared at the training area of Star-Shattering Cliff, he instinctively glanced toward the spot where Linoshi had been before.

With that one look, he froze.

A girl was standing on the rocks over there.

The girl had flowing silver hair that shimmered faintly in the sunlight, like liquid moonlight.

She was wearing the distinctive attire of an Angel and held a silver-white scepter in her hand. The staff was long and slender, with a transparent crystal orb embedded at the top.

Rez: "..."

She really was an Angel!

She's not even pretending anymore, appearing directly in her Angel form?

However, it was worth noting that the girl's skin tone was not much different from a Saiyan's or an Earthling's; it wasn't the blue skin seen on some Angels.

She stood there quietly, her silver hair fluttering gently in the wind. Her entire being exuded a holy and detached aura, as if she didn't belong to this world.

Linoshi was staring blankly at the crystal ball on her scepter, completely unaware of Rez's arrival.

Something was faintly flowing inside the crystal ball, like mist or starlight.

She was looking at it very intently, her brow slightly furrowed as if she were deep in thought.

"Ahem!"

Rez cleared his throat.

Linoshi was startled, her body trembling slightly. She looked up abruptly and stared blankly at Rez.

"You... when did you get here?" Linoshi's lip twitched slightly as she asked nervously, her hand unconsciously tightening around the scepter.

"Just now." Rez smiled, looking Linoshi up and down. His gaze lingered on her long silver hair and Angel attire for a moment before he mused, "So you can transform too."

"Ye... yes..." Linoshi nodded hurriedly, her voice so small it was barely audible. "This is... this is a transformation."

"This transformation of yours is quite strange." Rez looked at her with a smile, a hint of playfulness in his eyes. "It's the first time I've seen a silver-haired Saiyan."

"That... well... precisely because my transformation is so strange, I rarely show it..." Linoshi replied guiltily, her eyes darting around, not daring to meet his gaze.

After saying that, Linoshi immediately changed her appearance.

Her long silver hair instantly turned black, and the Angel attire on her body transformed into the blue combat suit characteristic of Saiyans. White shoulder guards and armor encased her slender frame, and even the scepter in her hand vanished.

She had returned to the way she looked last night.

"How amazing. Does your transformation even change your clothes?" Rez asked with a smile.

"No... yes..." Linoshi didn't know how to answer for a moment. Her face flushed as she hung her head, not daring to look Rez in the eye.

Her fingers unconsciously gripped a corner of her armor, rubbing it forcefully.

The astral wind blew by, catching her hair and letting it brush gently against her cheek.

"I should start training too," Rez took a deep breath and said softly.

"Can... can I watch from the side?" Linoshi asked in a low voice, looking up to steal a glance at him before quickly lowering her eyes again.

In those pale blue eyes, there was a hint of anticipation mixed with a bit of nervousness.
