Belle finished packing her belongings quickly; she had never been one to accumulate clutter, and her life could easily fit into a few boxes. Neon, however, was a completely different story. Unlike his sister, he desperately needed help sorting through the mountain of gifts he had received from Andrei, Eli, and Jojie. When he had first arrived at Eli's doorstep, he carried nothing but a meager, half-empty backpack. Now, Eli actually had to lend him a massive hard-shell suitcase just to fit the overflow.
Eli looked at the remaining clothes still hanging in the closet, then down at the already bursting suitcase. "Why don't you leave some of your things here?" he suggested smoothly, watching Neon's face instantly light up. "That way, whenever you want to come over and spend the night, you'll already have everything you need. Andrei would be thrilled to have you around from time to time, too."
