Chapter 5 - 5- To Pass the Time

Diagon Alley, Ollivander's shop

So not only is that wand made from wood coming from a demonic tree of a different world whose fruit needs thousands of humans' blood to grow a fruit that has the power to make someone a demon king and that can only grow once every few thousand years, but it also has the tail feather of a demonic raven who fed on battlefield corpses, including that of a king, that can shape-shift, has super strength and agility and has dominion over atmospheric elements and that is often used to symbolise the corrupting nature of power.

If this wand doesn't work with me, I might as well give up on this whole magic thing.

Speaking of, the wand's surface appears slightly cracked and ridged, with red embers glowing from within the crevices; the wand gradually tapers toward the tip, where a fiery red crystal emits a vivid glow. Said crystal looks like it's been carved into a small hexagonal pyramid, from what could have been a Qlipoth fruit if it had absorbed enough human blood. The other end of the wand instead has been carved to resemble a crow's talons. All considered it quite screams evil demonic wand.

I wonder if the Qlipoth wood can still absorb blood and, if so, whether it strengthens the wand… food for thought.

Taking the wand from Ollivander's hands, I can instantly feel a connection forming between me and the magical stick, which results in me transforming into my Devil Trigger, which ends up making the wand maker jump a little in reaction to seeing me.

"Seems like we found the right wand for me. How much do I owe you for this little one and for anything necessary to take care of it?" As I finish saying that, I turn back into my human form before willing the wand to disappear into the Devil Bringer and bringing my cane back to my right hand.

"It's seven galleons for the wand and three more for the kit, for a total of ten galleons."

Hearing that, I take ten gold coins out of the enchanted bag I got from the goblins earlier while I was trading my gold bar and hand them to the shopkeeper before saying goodbye to the fine wand maker and heading outside the shop.

Now then, I have some time to kill before heading home, so let's see what this alley has to offer.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

After my visit to Ollivanders, I went to Flourish and Blotts to buy any book that could help me master my newly found magic so that I wouldn't stumble too much around trying to reinvent the wheel.

As I'm getting ready to open a portal with Yamato back home, my gaze falls on a shop I hadn't seen or thought about earlier, Magical Menagerie… Eh, why not? Let's see if anything in there catches my eye.

Entering the shop I can see that the few empty cages outside where just a sample of what to expect when entering the shop because apart from a little area around the counter, which is manned by an elderly witch with heavy black spectacles that greets me when she sees me getting inside her shop, the entire store has cages everywhere that formed little corridors between one another and that completely covered the walls.

Sigh, I guess this is what happens when you're desensitised to animal cruelty, and there are very few, if any, laws for animal protection.

Taking a look around the shop, a singular cage catches my eye. Inside there are two ravens with midnight black feathers with small white dots scattered around, almost like stars, talons and beaks which seem sharper than usual for a raven. One of the two has eyes of a molten gold colour, while what must be its sibling has molten silver eyes, but both of them have a particularly intelligent gaze as they stare at me.

Getting closer to their cage, I put the index finger of my Devil Bringer inside the cage to see how the two birds would react to it. The ravens tilt their heads to look at my finger from various different angles before hopping closer to it and letting me scratch them below their chins.

'Well, seems that these two like me.' Thinking that I can feel a connection forming between the raven siblings and me, something that, judging by their little caws, the two seem to also feel. Obviously, I would find myself a pair of raven familiars just after getting a wand with a demonic raven feather as a core.

Picking up their cage, I head towards the counter before putting the cage down on it.

"Hello there, Ma'am, can you tell me how much these two are and their gender, please?"

"They're one galleon each, dearie and, considering the amount of mischief these two cause me whenever they manage to unlock their cage, they are definitely two boys."

"Thanks, Ma'am. Here you go, and have a nice day." Saying that I take out two galleons and hand them over to the elderly witch.

"You too, dearie."

Stepping out of the shop, I lower the cage down on the ground before I open it and stick my demon arm inside, letting the two ravens jump onto it before I bring my arm out of the cage and raise it so the two birds are about eye level with me. At the same time, I also leave the cage in my enchanted suitcase.

"Now then, what should I name you two?" Well, when it comes to naming ravens, especially when you have to name two of them, there's only really one option, isn't there? "You'll be Huginn," I say, scratching the golden-eyed one. "And you'll be Muninn," I say, scratching the silver-eyed one.

Mind and Will, just like Odin's ravens. Now I just need a pair of magical wolves, a spear that never misses its target, and if I ever lose an eye, I can make the perfect Odin cosplay.

Judging by their happy caws, I'm inclined to believe that Huginn and Muninn like their names.

Vergil's POV, three days later.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, once I got back home and Mom and Himiko saw the two birds standing on my shoulders, they rapidly became raven-seeking missiles and threw themselves at Huginn and Muninn. While at first the magic birds were, justifiably, scared of the women launching themselves at them, my familiars soon realised that there was nothing to be afraid of and that they could actually use this opportunity to get spoiled and immediately started cuddling with Mom and Himiko.

In just half an hour, the two birds had found themselves standing on the two women's shoulders and getting fed various treats while constantly getting praised for whatever thing they might do; those little traitors abandoned me at the first opportunity.

A couple of days after I came back home from another universe, Mei sent me a text telling me she had completed the first actually working prototype for the Devil Breaker and that whenever I was free I could go see her to test it, which is the reason why me, Huginn and Muninn and currently headed towards Mei's warehouse to see how Rawhide is gonna hold up.

Reaching Mei's warehouse, which looks suspiciously like a particularly large garage, I knock on the absolutely-not-a-garage door to let the explosive inventor inside know I'm here. Once the door opens, I'm met with the interior of the warehouse, which looks even more like the aftermath of a minefield exploding than it did the other times I've been here, all except for a couple of tables on the sides of the room and a little corner where Mei is currently intensively staring at and admiring her new baby that looks exactly like Rawhide from DMC 5.

"Well, that certainly looks like something that's not going to explode in my face as soon as it's turned on."

Hearing me say that, Mei turns around and removes the goggles from in front of her eyes, most probably so she doesn't talk to a single pore of my skin due to how much those things can zoom in when combined with her quirk.

"Redgrave-san! When did you come in?!" Didn't you open the garage door for me, woman? How could you not realise I was here? "Doesn't matter! Here, try this!"

Saying that Mei hands me the Rawhide gauntlet with more tenderness in her action than a mother has with her newborn baby. She's so focused on me and the gauntlet that she hasn't even realised that my ravens are currently flying around her workshop while sometimes landing on the various tables and curiously looking at the various gadgets and tools lying on said tables.

Looking at the Devil Breaker, I see that the modifications we made for it to work without having to cut off my arm are all there, specifically making it so that Rawhide is actually a gauntlet with the bladed whip links wrapped around it while the bladed claws sit on my knuckles, kind of like Wolverine's claws.

Putting Rawhide on my left arm, I wait for a couple of seconds to see if it's going to explode immediately, which thankfully it doesn't, and then go stand in the middle of the garage to see how the Devil Breaker works.

Clenching my left hand and pressing a button on the side of the index finger, the bladed whip unfolds from around the metal gauntlet, and I start swinging my arm around, hoping the Devil Breaker doesn't just decide to explode on me, which miraculously it doesn't.

After about five minutes of me fighting imaginary enemies with Rawhide, I press the index button once more so the whip can retract around the gauntlet. How Mei was able to make it retract automatically, I have no idea, but I guess that just goes to show how good an inventor and engineer she is.

"If this is just a prototype, I can't wait to see what you're gonna make once you have access to UA's equipment."

As soon as I'm done saying that and am turning around to look at Mei, a pink-headed rocket crashes onto me and sends us both towards the ground.

"Haha! Our baby works perfectly, Redgrave-san, and just in time for tomorrow's examination. With this, I'm sure I'm gonna be accepted into UA's support course!"

That's certainly some confidence coming from someone whose inventions end up exploding in her face 99 times out of 100, but I guess she has a reason or two to believe she's going to pass the exam; after all, she passed in the original timeline where I'm pretty sure she didn't make something that could very well pass for a quirk of some middle-level hero.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

UA University, the next day, Third person pov.

After giving what she would describe as the perfect interview, Mei finds herself waiting for her turn inside one of the numerous UA's workshops where she will be first asked to perform some basic tasks to judge at what level of practical engineer she's at before she will be given the opportunity to showcase her babies to the two judges of the examination, President Nezu and Power Loader.

Seeing the latest examinee come out from the workshop together with his flatbed trolley holding his inventions, Mei stops focusing on making any last-minute adjustments to her babies to listen to the public announcement system for the next name called.

"Hatsume Mei, please step inside workshop number 12. I repeat, Hatsume Mei, please step inside workshop number 12."

"Well, that's me, time to let my babies amaze the judges!"

Hearing the announcement, Mei gets up from the chair before loudly announcing her 'babies', something which many of the examinees still waiting for their turn find relatively unusual, while taking her own flatbed trolley, which holds a veritable mountain of gadgets and gizmos and heading towards the oversized sliding door leading to the workshop.

Entering the examination area, Mei sees a white-furred chimaera and a half-naked man with an excavation claw on his head, Principal Nezu and Power Loader, sitting down at a table on the opposite side where the door she just came in is, with another table in front of them holding various tools and half-finished gadgets and a single metallic chair in front of it. On the wall to her left are various metallic mannequins which she can use in the latter half of her examination to demonstrate the attacking capabilities of her babies, while on the right side are various metal cabinets with glass doors. Inside the cabinets, there are a large number of tools which look much more advanced than the ones on the tables in front of the judges.

On the metal floor, there are grout lines positioned seemingly at random, while on the wall behind the judges' table there's a control panel which, when the switches inside it are turned, causes the workbenches hidden inside the floor to rise.

Parking her flatbed next to the table filled with tolls and gadgets, Mei sits down in front of the chimeric principal and construction-themed hero before starting the first phase of the examination.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

UA's workshop number 12, 15 minutes later

After a quick demonstration of her skills over the basics, Mei started to showcase her babies' potential. Some of them worked in the exact same way they worked when she tested them in her warehouse; others malfunctioned and stopped working; others still decided to explode, something kind of typical for her babies, she has to admit.

"And for my last baby! Made in collaboration with my friend Vergil, I present you… Rawhide!" Saying that Mei presents her favourite baby to the two judges, causing the suited-up principal to grin slightly upon hearing the name of UA's only scholarship student while Power Loader raises an eyebrow upon recognition.

"Oho, I didn't know that Mr Vergil had an engineering streak in him."

"Aaah, obviously your protege would somehow end up being my problem even when he's in the hero course."

Once the two heroes focus back on Mei after their little comments, they see the soon-to-be support student having put on a metal gauntlet completely covered in bladed chain links ending in a bladed claw that rests above her knuckles.

Pushing the button on her index finger, the chain whip unfolds from around her arm before she wraps it around one of the numerous mannequins standing in for her and jerks her arm back, causing the sharp links of the chain to leave a large number of marks and scratches on the poor mannequin.

"As you can see, Rawhide's chain whip is ideal for wrapping around villains and incapacitating them so that they can later be cuffed and brought to custody."

Immediately after speaking, Mei wraps another of the mannequins with Rawhide before pressing the button on her index finger, causing the whip to harden and letting Mei swing the innocent mannequin around as a toddler might do with their teddy bear.

"Moreover, by just pressing the button positioned on the index finger while the whip is wrapped around the malefactor, you'll lock the links in position, allowing you to easily tenderise whatever you have wrapped, and with another simple press of that same button…" P

Pushing the button once more causes the mannequin to be sent flying towards the wall with the toll cabinets, where the metal dummy promptly crashes into it, slightly damaging the wall. "You can rapidly disengage and once more be ready to warp the whip around anybody you might need to!"

As the chain rewinds onto the gauntlet, Mei approaches one of the few dummies left standing before slashing multiple times with the bladed claw on her knuckles.

"In case it's needed, the bladed claw can also serve as a close-quarter weapon!"

Removing Rawhide from her arm and leaving it on the flatbed, Mei faces the judges and bows exactly like a magician might at the end of their show. Standing up from her bow, Mei sees her future professor, Power Loader, with his hands on the claw he wears as a hat while muttering something at a volume too low for her to hear. In total contrast to his employee, the furred chimaera has a grin stretching almost from ear to ear and a glint in his eyes that anyone who knows him would tell you is more dangerous than a volcanic eruption.

"Well, Miss Hatsume, yours has been an excellent presentation, and while I can't officially welcome you into UA yet as that would go against protocol, I can certainly say that if there's anyone who can breathe a sigh of relief, then that's you." Hearing the principal's praise for her babies, Mei can't stop the smile on her face from growing a bit.

"Thank you for the praise, principal."

"Now, before we let you go, you said that a friend of yours helped you in making that last gadget you showed us. Could you tell me exactly how he helped?" As soon as Mei realises that the principal wanted to know more about her favourite baby, Mei's smile transforms at a speed approaching the sound barrier into a full-on Cheshire cat grin.

"Rawhide was actually an idea of Vergil, but he had no clue on how to make his idea a reality. After I ended up falling into his arms from an explosion caused by one of my babies, he pitched me the idea of a bladed chain whip wrapped around a metal gauntlet, and a couple of months later our first baby was born." Upon hearing her story, Nezu can't help but be even more certain of his choice to give the young half-demon a scholarship at his university while hearing poor Power Loader mutter something which sounded suspiciously like "Oh perfect, she actually calls those time bombs as babies, just… perfect."

Tokyo, Might Tower, the afternoon of the same day, Vergil's POV.

After four days I mostly spend studying the various introduction books about magic I bought into a different universe, apart from the visit at Mei's to test Rawhide and the various breaks I had to take because Huginn and Muninn were pulling pranks on me and Dad and then immediately hiding behind Mom and Himiko, like dropping various small objects on Dad's head, taking my wallet and flying around the house or hiding mine or Dad's keys around the house, I finally have the chance to try my magic wand a little.

Why am I in All Might's tower? Because apparently getting temporarily displaced to another universe is not such a rare happening as I had thought, it actually happens relatively often, due to an enormous amount of quirks present in this world, to the point that the various world governments have actually decreed laws for situations like that. Some of this laws state that since the interdimensional displacement is considered an extreme emergency any and all crimes committed in that universe/world are to be considered null/void once back home, other laws state that any object, weapon, armour, pet or anything of the sort is owned by the displaced individual but that unless said individual has a hero license, is under the supervision of a licensed hero, or is in an emergency those objects must not be used.

Thankfully, there are also various laws stating that any slave acquired in the other world must be freed immediately, no matter if they were categorised as objects, servants or anything else in their world of origin. There are also a couple of laws dedicated to the matter of marriage.

Right now, Himiko and the two little avian troublemakers currently perched on my shoulders are exiting the lift, aptly named Mighty Lift, which has just left us on one of the upper floors, this one dedicated entirely as a training/sparring room. Why didn't Izumi and I use this floor to spar? Because the number one hero had, and I quote: "Forgot the floor had that purpose because it has been a couple or so of years since I last used it."

Sigh…

Opening the door leading to the rest of the floor, Himiko quickly spots Izumi and All Might talking in the centre of the floor and rapidly sprints toward the ninth inheritor of One for All and stops at a distance of approximately three atoms from her face.

"Hi! You must be my future sister-in-law! Big brother has said a lot about you! Did you kiss already?! Did he propose?! When is the wedding?! How many children are you two planning to have?!"

Mom has been a bad influence on her…

"You'll have to forgive my sister, Izumi; she gets overly excited a bit easily." Saying that I lift Himiko from the scruff of her neck just like a mother cat does with her kittens before letting her down at a distance more suited to a civilised conversation.

"N-No p-problem Redgrave-san…" she says that with a face redder than a strawberry before mumbling something so quickly and so softly that even I couldn't hear her, which seems to be the trigger for Huginn and Muninn to jump from my shoulders, glide a little and land on her shoulders. After a little inspection of Izumi's face, the two ravens nod to each other before starting to rub their heads on her cheeks, making Izumi freeze in surprise.

"Aww, they like you," Himiko says before scratching Huginn's head with her hand.

"Uhm, young Vergil, who are those two ravens perched on my daugh-… apprentice's shoulders?" You were about to say daughter, weren't you, Dad Might? All right, it's decided, I'll do everything in my power to make Inko fall in love with you and make Izumi your actual daughter!

"The golden-eyed one is Huginn and the silver-eyed one is Muninn; they're two little troublemakers I picked up from my interdimensional journey." Hearing me call the two exactly what they are, Huginn and Muninn caw indignantly towards me, acting all offended.

"They're not troublemakers, big brother; don't bully Mu-chan and Hu-chan!" My vampiric sister says, while continuing to pet my familiars, and those are the nicknames that Himiko and Mom have come up with for the two magical ravens.

Leaving my magical pets aside, I take a look around the singular room that covers the entire floor, and I see that all the walls are covered in reinforced windows so they don't shatter if something hits them and that between the windows are hidden compartments which probably serve to release the multiple sparring dummies of the floor.

It seems that the small chat gave Izumi enough time to reboot, and now she's tentatively scratching Muninn's head and back and also that Himiko has decided to just completely ignore the number one hero that just standing a couple of meters from her and has just asked her brother a question…

"Anyway, I think you three should go stand near one of the walls while I test my new magic wand. I have no idea how strong my spells are going to be, and I don't want to accidentally hurt any of you."

"Aren't you happy, Izumi-chan? You have such a wonderful future husband that he worries about you getting hurt while he experiments." Himiko says, making Izumi's head turn full red to the point that now, together with her green hair, she actually resembles a strawberry a little. It seems that my teasing rubbed off on her.

"Ready, young Vergil? I'm going to send out only one bot at a time for now, and they're going to stand still, tell me when you want to kick things up a notch." Dad might say while glaring just a little at me. Why are you looking at me like that?! It was Himiko who teased your future stepdaughter!

Nodding towards the number one hero, while trying to ignore his glare wrongfully directed at me, I take out my wand and aim it at the recently released dummy.

'Let's start with something relatively low powered, so I can gauge the level of power I'm working with.'

"Aqua Eructo." As soon as I finish saying the incantation for the water jet charm, a flow of water erupts from the tip of my wand and slams into the bot, causing a decently sized indent to form on the chest of the now drenched metal dummy. Considering that I wasn't really trying to get the most amount of power possible from the spell and was actually just going for a simple experiment, I have to say that the power actually surprised me. Let's see what happens if I actually will the spell to have more power.

"Aqua Eructo!"

*Clank!*

For anyone curious, that was the sound of the bot's higher half hitting the floor after getting bisected by a jet of water. I guess intent actually matters when casting spells, at least when it comes to the amount of power behind the spell.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

Half an hour later

After testing various charms, curses, hexes and spells in general, including but not limited to the fire-making charm, the ascension charm, Accio, the hover charm and the Melofors jinx, with each spell being followed by various comments from the peanut gallery standing on the side, I'm about ready to end the tests. The last thing I want to do is to see what happens when I cast a spell in my Devil Trigger form, whether the spells stay at the same power level or if they get some kind of power-up.

I'm just wondering what kind of spell I should use… I'll try the ice jinx since all it's supposed to do is just make a small ice cube. Even if the spell ends up being overcharged by my demonic form, it shouldn't do too much damage to the surroundings.

"Glaciem Formare", I say after transforming, and, as if the universe heard my thoughts just a moment ago, the spell ended up being much stronger than I could have thought, even when taking into account the possible power-up from my Devil Trigger.

In fact, the spell is strong enough to completely make half of the floor become a giant block of ice, thus freezing over the mannequin I pointed my wand at, the hidden compartments holding the extra dummies, the reinforced windows and the various remains of the destroyed dummies… and that was with me not even putting much power behind the spell.

Note to self: don't use magic while in demon form unless I need to seriously cause some damage.

Well, at least now I know how dangerous magic can get when I put some real power behind it.

"That was SO COOL! Big bro, can you get me a magic wand too?! Please?!"

"We can try Himi, but we'll need to see if you have the aptitude for magic and if one of the wands chooses you."

"Thanks, you're the best!" Himiko says before hugging me with enough strength to crack a normal man's ribs while I pat her head. Looking towards the world's protagonist and her mentor, I see both of them with the same exact shocked expression on their faces; it's getting really hard to believe that these two aren't actually blood-related.

"Do you two also want to try for a magic wand?"

"Thank you for the offer, young Vergil, but I don't think I'm really made up for that kind of stuff. Maybe I'll take up your offer when I'm retired." The number one hero says after thinking about it for a couple of seconds.

"No problem, All Might," I say before turning to the greenete in the room. "What about you, Izumi? Want to see if you have the potential to become a witch?"

Hearing me ask her a question, Izumi goes into one of her famous mumble sprees, rapidly cataloguing all the pros and cons she can think of before quietly nodding to herself after almost an entire minute and turning back towards me.

"I think I'll take you up on your offer, Redgrave-san!" Izumi says with an insecure look on her face as if convinced that she's not going to be worthy of a wand even after she was able to obtain a quirk that has existed since the dawn of all quirks. Seems that even after her excellent performance in the exam and everything else that happened in the last ten months, she still has some self-esteem issues hidden deep down, but I guess that's normal considering she's been bullied for 14 years straight.

Thankfully, it seems that they're going to be resolved on their own in time and, in the worst-case scenario, UA does have a psychologist in the form of Hound Dog.

I also still haven't been able to convince her to just call me by my name.

"Perfect! Then if you're free, we can meet tomorrow morning at Takoba's beach so I can bring you two to another universe."

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

Diagon Alley, the next day

Stepping through the portal first, I take a couple of steps away from it so that I can see Izumi's and Himiko's expressions once they step into the supernatural world of magical Britain, and the two young women certainly don't disappoint.

As soon as they set foot through the portal and have a chance to take a look around, both Himiko's and Izumi's eyes reach the size of saucers, along with their mouths slightly opening on their own. Those stupefied faces are caused by the absolute extravagance of the alley we're currently in, after all; for someone who's used to mundane buildings from a couple of centuries or so in the future, a street that has been seemingly plucked from the Middle Ages and mixed with the stereotypical wizards and witches from children's books must certainly be a shock.

"You two should close your mouths unless you want to eat some flies." Saying that and chuckling a bit to myself was enough to make the two close their mouth but they kept looking around as if still unconvinced that they were actually in another world.

"Well, what do you think about this place?"

Upon hearing my question, Himiko and Izumi stop looking around like tourists usually do whenever they visit any kind of historical place, which, admittedly, the two kind of are and turn to look at me.

"It's SO COOL! I never thought I would have been able to see a place like this anywhere but history books, and now I'm STANDING in it!" The blonde vampire I have as a sister says to me before going back to excitedly looking around the alley.

"Y-Yeah, seeing buildings this old still being around truly helps in selling the whole different universe thing." Says the woman who takes the saying 'break a leg' too seriously.

"If you like this alley, wait until you see Hogwarts. It's an entire magical castle standing on a hill overlooking a lake." Hearing my quick description of this nation's magical school, the two gain an excited look on their faces like they can't wait to see the place.

"And before you ask, yes, I'll take you two there so you can see it," I say, making Himiko jump in place from excitement while Izumi pumps her fist in the air like she just won some rare prize at an arcade. "But before that, we're here to see if you two have the aptitude to become witches, so let's go to the wand shop."

While I say that like the place is far away, we're actually right in front of it thanks to the portal I opened earlier that brought us here, so all we need to do is just take a dozen or so steps, open the door and voila! We've reached Ollivanders.

"Welcome back to Ollivanders, Mr Vergil. Back so soon? I hope there were no problems with your wand," says the shop owner from behind the counter as soon as all three of us step inside. I say three and not five because Huginn and Muninn decided to stay at home and get spoiled by Mom. I'll need to put them on a diet, or those two are going to get as big as turkeys sooner or later.

Before I can answer Ollivander, Himiko very much launches herself at him so fast I can barely track her and stops herself only because otherwise she would have destroyed the counter from the impact.

"Are you a real wizard?! I'm Himiko! You already know my brother and the green-haired lady are my brother's future wife, Izumi! Are you the one who will get us wands?!"

Chuckling a bit, the old wizard replies. "Haha, I guess I found out the reason you're back here so soon, Mr Vergil, though I have to say I didn't expect a young demon like you to be engaged to a human woman. Anyway, we can certainly see if any of the wands in my shop are going to choose these two lovely ladies, but I fear that if they haven't received any letter from Hogwarts until now, then they might not be witches." Ollivander says, causing the poor Izumi to once again develop one of her atomic blushes.

"We're not actually engaged, Mr Ollivander; my sister simply likes to tease Izumi. Also, no need to worry about them not receiving letters; it would be kind of hard for that to happen from an entirely different universe after all." I say while having to once more separate my sister from her target. Sometimes I wonder if all the blood she keeps drinking from me is actually giving her an energy surplus like a kid on a sugar rush.

"Ah, I see, in that case I apologise, Miss Izumi. Which of you two young ladies would like to start?" No comment on the different universe thing, huh? I guess that the old wizard must have heard stranger things, like a toddler defeating a dark lord while still in the crib.

"Me! Me! I wanna go first!"

Chuckling a bit at my sister's enthusiasm, Ollivander takes out his measuring tape that does the exact thing it did to me last time while the shop owner jumps onto his self-moving ladder and heads towards the back of the shop before coming back with a box.

"Try this one, young lady: Dragon heartstring core, English oak wood, 11 inches and stiff. Give it a flick and let's see what happens." Ollivander says before handing the wand to my sister, who takes it and flicks it towards a flower vase standing on one of the various small tables scattered around the shop.

The oak wand releases a couple of grey coloured sparks before stopping and doing nothing more, no matter how many times Himiko continues to flick it.

"Hmm, no, that's certainly not it, but at least we know for certain that you have the aptitude to be a witch," Ollivander says before taking the wand back, and once more going to the back of the shop, before coming back with a different box containing a new wand.

"Phoenix feather, willow wood, 10 inches." Unfortunately, it seems that my sister is as challenging a customer as I was because this wand also ends up rejecting her, and so do the next four she tries, all with different combinations of magical cores, wood, length and hardness.

At the seventh wand Ollivander comes back with a box that looks slightly different from the others before once more explaining the components that make up the wand.

"Rougarou hair, reed wood, 11 inches and kind of springy. This wand specifically comes from a colleague of mine from the other side of the pond with whom I've been exchanging letters and materials. Try it"

This time, when Himiko flicks the wand, a very large amount of golden coloured sparks is released from the tip of the wand along with a bright light. I think we've found my sister's wand.

"Well, Miss Himiko, it seems you were destined for an American wand. Take good care of it, and it shall take good care of you.

"Thank you, Mr Ollivander. I will!" Himiko says with a large smile splitting her face and while hugging the wand to her chest before turning to me with a proud look on her face. "Did you see that big brother?! I'm officially a witch now!" She says while throwing a peace sign at me.

"I see Himi, I'm proud of you," I said before hugging her.

"Now then, sorry for the wait, but it's now your turn, Miss Izumi. Do you happen to know your wand arm?" Ollivander says towards Izumi while the magical tape is already measuring her, and he's already heading back to take a new box.

"I'm s-sorry b-but I don't", Izumi says, stammering a little, probably due to the measuring tape running all over her.

"Well, no worry. Here, try this, Miss: Unicorn tail hair core, vine wood, 12 inches and really springy." Ollivander says while handing Izumi a wand and at the same time causing Himiko's eyes to widen to worrying levels upon hearing the word unicorn. I'm sure she'll want to go see one before heading home.

As Izumi flicked the wand, one of the flower vases scattered around spontaneously exploded, sending various ceramic shards flying in all directions and making Izumi grimace upon seeing the damage she inadvertently caused.

"I'm s-so sorry for t-that, p-please forgive me, I swear I'll repay you for it!" Izumi says while continuously bowing towards the old wand maker.

"No need to apologise, Miss; we have repairing charms exactly for situations like this and, moreover, it wasn't your fault but simply the wand rejecting you, which means that you have the aptitude for magic and thus can be a witch," Ollivander says, greatly calming Izumi, before taking out his own wand and repairing the vase and making the poor flowers fly back to it.

The next six wands also end up rejecting Izumi until Ollivander once more comes back with a slightly different box from the others. "Thunderbird tail feather, pear wood, 13 inches and a bit stiff. This wand also comes from that colleague of mine from the other side of the pond. Try it"

As Izumi flicks the wand, all the various flowers and plants lying around in the shop quickly grow similar to a time-lapse video until they double, or even triple in some cases, in size before slowly going back to the norm.

"Would you look at that, we've found your wand! It's kind of a shame that you two were destined for wands made overseas by a colleague. I'm a bit sad I couldn't find you two a match in my wands." The English wand maker says before giving a small laugh. "Anyway, Mr Vergil, it seems that being a challenging customer runs in your family, even in future members." He says with a wink directed at me and Izumi at the end, making Izumi blush once more, me roll my eyes at him, and Himiko let out a little laugh due to her newly found partner in teasing.

"How much do I owe you for the wands and for a pair of kits?" Shaking my head at the old man, I ask him.

After paying Ollivander 20 galleons for everything, the two newly discovered witches and I headed to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour, where I brought the girls to get some of the famous magical ice cream and where Himiko immediately took the chance to tease Izumi by telling her how sorry she was for intruding on her date with me and for being the third wheel.

Once Izumi and Himiko had their fill of ice cream, I paid for the desserts we ate and for some extra to bring home before I cut open a portal so we could reach Hogwarts, whose sight left the girls more shocked than a child learning that Santa Claus and the tooth fairy aren't real. But I guess that seeing an old magical castle with centuries of history standing on a hill, overlooking a lake where numerous magical creatures live, including a giant squid, and with a large dense forest, where even more magical creatures live, and a magical sports arena on its back would shock pretty much anyone.

How are we seeing the entirety of Hogwarts' grounds? That would be thanks to me creating one of those double-jumping platforms from the DMC games and bringing the three of us high up in the air, which caused a couple of birds to squawk indignantly at us because we almost bumped into them.

As the fifth minute mark of our little demon platform powered flight approached Izumi and Himiko were finally able to snap out of their stupor before immediately falling into a light speed chat between them about any and all sights they can see from up here until a couple minutes later when they eventually run out of subjects to talk about run dry and Himiko turns towards me with some impressive puppy dog eyes aimed directly at me.

"Can we go see the unicorns now, big brother?! Please?" Himiko says while bringing her hands towards mine and holding my hand in between hers.

"Sure, but please try not to stray too far from me once we're inside the forest. Some nasty stuff lives in there, and while I'm sure you two can defend yourselves perfectly fine, I also don't feel like having to explain to our parents or All Might why their daughter/protegee ended up being injured on a simple shopping trip."
