Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Iron Man hovered high above Jack, the roaring thrusters of his armor painting streaks of blue-white light across the dark sky. Wind whipped around them as the massive Helicarrier struggled to maintain balance in the clouds below. Sparks flickered from damaged sections of the flying fortress, while alarms echoed faintly through the night.

"You see that?" Iron Man shouted, his voice amplified through the armor's speakers. "My power. Today, I'm going to repay all the humiliation you gave me. I'll return it to you tenfold!"

Jack slowly climbed to his feet amid the twisted metal and debris. He rolled his shoulders as though he had merely finished a light exercise. Looking up at Tony, he smiled casually.

"I saw it," Jack said. "The power of the iron suit is pretty good. You're almost approaching Thor's level now. It seems humiliation really helped you grow. As your elder, I feel quite gratified."

"Damn your elder!"

Tony roared. Both palms flared with brilliant light as repulsor energy gathered rapidly.

Two beams of destructive energy blasted toward Jack.

Jack vanished from his original position.

"Who are you calling an elder?" Jack's voice suddenly sounded from behind him. "If I'm not your elder, then what am I? Your father?"

Before Tony could turn around, Jack's foot slammed into the back of the armor.

Bang!

Iron Man shot downward like a meteor and crashed into the Helicarrier's thick armored deck. Metal folded inward under the impact, leaving a massive crater.

Jack descended from the air and landed beside him.

Without hesitation, he grabbed one of Iron Man's legs.

"What are you—"

Tony's words were cut off.

Jack swung him overhead with terrifying force and smashed him into the deck.

Boom!

The Helicarrier shook violently.

Again.

Boom!

Again.

Boom!

Tony felt as if his entire body was being rattled apart inside the armor.

Jack continued swinging him like a giant hammer.

"Ahhh!"

Jack even began making exaggerated shouting noises while smashing him around.

"Enough!"

Tony roared.

The thrusters beneath his boots suddenly erupted with blazing energy. The powerful force launched him into the air and forced Jack to let go.

Iron Man shot upward hundreds of feet before stabilizing himself.

"You having fun?" Tony growled.

Jack looked up.

"Not bad."

Tony's armor rotated in midair before accelerating downward. He struck Jack directly, carrying him skyward with tremendous momentum.

The wind screamed around them.

Tony drew back his fist and drove it into Jack's stomach.

"Jack! I want you dead!"

At the same time, compartments on his shoulders opened.

Dozens of tiny missiles emerged.

They were no larger than nails, but each contained tremendous destructive power.

Like a swarm of angry hornets, they rushed toward Jack.

Jack was knocked backward several dozen meters before finally stabilizing himself in midair.

Looking at the incoming missiles, he raised an eyebrow.

Tony laughed.

"You think that's all?"

The missiles suddenly changed direction.

Every single one locked onto Jack again.

"Father really did think that was all," Jack said.

The missiles surrounded him from every angle.

Then—

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

A chain of explosions erupted around Jack.

Flames spread across the sky like gigantic fireworks. The night itself seemed to ignite.

The shockwave rolled outward.

Even the Helicarrier below swayed violently.

Crew members who had only just regained their footing stumbled once more as warning sirens blared throughout the vessel.

"Hahaha!"

Tony's laughter echoed through the comms.

"These missiles combined have enough power to level a city block! Even if you're powerful, you should be heavily injured now!"

The sea of fire slowly began to fade.

Then a voice emerged.

"Pretty fierce."

Tony's smile froze.

Jack stepped out of the dissipating flames.

His clothing had been almost completely destroyed. What remained looked like little more than rags hanging from his body. Numerous wounds covered his exposed skin, and blood trickled from several places.

Yet despite his appearance, he was smiling.

"My Thought Power got blown apart," Jack admitted. "Not bad at all."

Tony's grin widened.

For the first time since their battles began, he felt truly satisfied.

"Jack, you finally have a bad day."

He pointed toward Jack.

"This is only the beginning. I'm not going to kill you quickly. I'm going to make you suffer first."

Jack glanced down.

The wounds across his body were already healing.

Blood stopped flowing.

The torn flesh rapidly closed.

Within seconds, not even scars remained.

Tony's expression darkened.

Jack stretched lazily.

"Looks like you really did spend time studying me."

"You can test it yourself."

"Your strength has grown. Your confidence has grown too."

Jack smiled.

"Very energetic."

Suddenly, his pupils changed.

A strange force spread outward.

Thought Power.

Invisible pressure surged toward Iron Man from all directions.

"Thought Power is useless!"

Tony accelerated instantly.

White flames erupted from his feet.

His speed increased so dramatically that he became little more than a streak of light.

Jack's eyes narrowed.

"He escaped through the gaps?"

Tony shot through the invisible pressure field.

"Your Thought Power isn't impossible to read anymore," Tony said proudly. "Every time you activate it, your eyes release a unique electromagnetic fluctuation."

Jack listened carefully.

"I developed a detection system specifically for it. The moment you activate your power, my armor knows."

Tony pointed at his helmet.

"The solution is simple. Escape the affected area before your attack closes in."

Jack began clapping slowly.

"Wonderful."

His smile widened.

"Really wonderful."

"Jack!"

Tony pointed at himself.

"You have power."

Then he pointed to his head.

"I have science."

His armor flared brilliantly.

"And I have a brain."

With that, he charged forward again.

Jack merely raised his hand.

A massive fireball appeared.

It glowed scarlet-red and radiated terrifying heat.

"Then what about this?"

He threw it.

The giant fireball shot toward Iron Man.

"Useless!"

Tony didn't dodge.

Bang!

The fireball exploded directly against the armor.

Tony was blasted backward through the air.

Flames covered his entire body.

Yet he laughed.

"You think I didn't prepare for this?"

His arms spread apart.

The armor shook violently.

The flames scattered.

"My current armor can withstand temperatures up to one hundred fifty thousand degrees."

Tony pointed at Jack.

"Your fire can melt steel instantly."

"But unless it exceeds my armor's limits, it's useless."

Jack nodded thoughtfully.

"Technology really is impressive."

Tony smiled.

"Now you're understanding."

"But."

Jack's smile suddenly became strange.

"Technology and brains alone aren't enough."

"That's a joke."

Tony accelerated once more.

His speed was so great that even the air exploded around him.

Only a blur remained visible.

Suddenly—

Crash!

Tony smashed directly into a gigantic wall of ice that appeared before him.

The ice shattered instantly.

Fragments flew everywhere.

Yet Tony continued charging.

"Jack!"

Energy gathered around his fist.

The surrounding air distorted.

He threw a punch.

At the same moment, Jack clenched his own fist.

Lightning erupted around his arm.

Crack!

Electricity danced wildly through the sky.

Bang!

The two fists collided.

For a brief moment, time itself seemed to freeze.

Then—

A deafening explosion erupted.

The collision point became a sphere of light.

White energy.

Blue lightning.

Violent shockwaves.

Everything exploded outward simultaneously.

The surrounding clouds were torn apart.

The deck of the Helicarrier trembled below.

Crew members looked upward in horror as the sky itself appeared to crack apart.

Even Thor, Steve Rogers, and Banner turned their attention toward the battle.

The energy wave expanded farther and farther.

Jack and Iron Man were both thrown backward by the impact.

Tony spun through the air before regaining control.

Jack slid backward across empty space as lightning flickered around his body.

For a moment, neither attacked.

Both stared at each other across the night sky.

Tony's chest rose and fell.

His eyes burned with determination.

Jack's smile slowly widened.

The battle was becoming interesting.

Very interesting.

For the first time in a long while, Tony Stark had evolved enough to surprise him.

And for Tony, seeing Jack pushed back even slightly felt like proof that all his preparation had not been in vain.

Above the damaged Helicarrier, illuminated by lightning and fire, the two figures floated in the darkness.

Neither intended to retreat.

Neither intended to yield.

The real fight was only beginning.
