The parliament was in absolute chaos. The meeting room was filled to capacity with the Representatives. I presented my case. I got word that this incident had occured because of a human. I want full immunity as I go hunting for this traitor. The humans objected. The Nocturnals reminded me that I believe humans want discord because they are constant conflict while we are peaceful. I had to connect with them mentally to show them the conversations I have heard over the course six hundred years. This sewed their mouth shut. The humans stared as I explained how I have heard the many conversations on a weekly basis. Then I connected with my family. I showed them everything. They stopped being hostile to one another. It was a temporary truce but still I am happy. I asked permission to investigate and demanded immunity and the Nocturnals voted yes.
The humans stared in disbelief as I was given full immunity and the resources to find the traitor. I didn't get my bearings before I was informed Soren was woken. He is rallying the vampire covens. He won't listen without proof so I messaged him to stop fighting. He told me to stay out of this. I was trying to rationalize the situation but it was simple. The werewolves broke the treaty. I tried to explain how he was duped. But he tuned me out. I need to get my evidence before things get ugly. At least my security were getting along. For that I am grateful. They waited for orders. I didn't stay in his head long enough to make him a vegetable. He showed me a place where the bomb was made. I got there at a leisurely pace. I recorded everything on my bodycam. I made sure everyone saw the place. It showed someone else used a prosthetic to their face to resemble the vampire. The real vampire had died a few years back. The vampires issued an apology but they demanded the head of the werewolf who mauled the vampire.
The werewolves say they are innocent. I finally told them to search the corpse's memory. She was dead when she was mauled so there is no way to know. I was so frustrated that I screamed so loudly that the zombies nearby fell and had seizures. I set them on fire and found a new set of drones chasing me. I waited till they were close and I asked the sentinel vampire with the sniper rifle to destroy it. They were all shot down. I thanked him and he wished me luck on my investigation. I was taken to the vampire headquarters underground. It looked like a gothic mansion. You couldn't tell that it was underground. It was cozy. All the women were either dressed in black dresses worn by goths or were wearing black war uniforms. They were tight fit bodysuit with anti slip on soles in their shoes. Armed to the teeth. I quickly extended my shielded and made the place a little more safer. The vampires were amused by my overprotectiveness. But they didn't complain. I got a goblet of blood. I was escorted to a spacious room to clean myself up before heading out. I was invited to dinner where we drank blood and talked about finding the crooks who are responsible.
Afterwards I stepped out and made myself invisible before I flew. I found a werewolf place. I made myself visible and raised my hand to say I meant them no harm. They laughed as they let me in. One person asked me who had mauled the vampire. I mentioned a few suspects. I am unable to be five places at once. I explained where they were and the werewolves hauled them in for a little Q&A. I deliberately walking slowly since there is an AI whose purpose is to find out what I can do so it can counter it. They were shocked to hear it. They promised their engineers would find a way to disable it permanently. Byron asked me to come and bite the guilty to see who was the culprit. The people were terrified as they watched me bite them one by one. They started to scream in pain as I sank my teeth in. But as my venom flowed through their bodies they calmed down. They complained when I retracted my teeth. The guilty ones were the second and fourth. The rest were sent home. I had to show them all of their recent memories.
I moved on to find the leader of this menace. He was air lifted. His cronies were easier to catch. The police were called to defend the place. In the meantime I practiced boxing and also tried shooting. The place wasn't like the vampire's place. It was elegant and made to look like it was from a horror novel but with a royal touch. I noticed that this place felt more like home sweet home. The wolves were happy to host me. Sam was pleased with my progress. He had insisted that I used superspeed. Byron explained that the problem was Artificial intelligence. I had to wait till Bane had disabled the AI. It took a few days for him to find a way. Then I went at torpedo speed to get the crooks. The police didn't know anything happened until after I left. As always I had to bite them for answers. The werewolves saw as did everyone. I made sure both sides saw it. None was bold enough to question the memories. But getting them back to the negotiating table was the challenge. Both were upset and none were ready back down.
I had to find the pilot to get the location of the hidden base. It was a fortress with guards at every point. Fortified with AI. He was here to collect a briefcase. It had important documents. That must not fall into enemy hands. I disguised myself as him and walked into the building. I had swipe the ID badge several times and had sign multiple documents before reaching the floor. Then I was searched for bugs before I was given the briefcase. This thing is ancient and still people use. When will this get out of fashion. I guess if it ain't broke use it. A stern faced man with a shriveled face raised a skeletal finger and told me where to take it. The entire time both sides of my family at my mental commentary. A vampire name Tatiana suggested I use hypnosis and the werewolf side told her to grow up. She countered saying that the briefcase is rigged and the only way I am getting answers is if I do it. I am simply asking him to open the box. I am not asking him to hurt himself. I have nothing to worry about. I drove to the airstrip and I took a deep breath as I hypnotized the man in stewardess uniform to open the case. He complied and the military personnel next to tried to protest. I bit him and he shut up.
Inside the case was a detailed design of a virus designed to target and kill only the Nocturnals. I muttered an 'I told you so' to both sides. They tried to calm down since they had to find out if this exists or not. The papers were destroyed and I bit both of them so they would be out for at least a day. The next step was to detain them. I shoved them into the trunk of a car before I changed looks and boarded the plane. It took me to Europe. The entire time I felt like a bundle of nerves. The target asked me if I acquired the briefcase. I showed it to him and he was happy. He made it clear it. He wants it delivered to his location so he can start the process of killing the Nocturnals. Once the virus had killed us all they will find a way to neutralise it and become Nocturnals. They will rule the humans with an iron fist. As the plane landed I got ready. As soon as we were inside I used superspeed to find a safe place where I can get my hands on the creep. I had to stay invisible or they would have discovered me. I would be trapped while he gets away. Here goes nothing.
