The grand obsidian throne room of the Pearl Palace was a hive of frantic, highly organized activity. With Raven's official coronation scheduled for that very evening, a small army of tailors, decorators, and royal historians were rushing about the massive, sea-glass illuminated chamber.
Standing perfectly still upon a small wooden dais in the center of the room, Raven looked entirely miserable.
He was currently being swarmed by three highly enthusiastic Pearl Kingdom tailors who were meticulously adjusting the heavy, silver-embroidered hem of his dark velvet coronation cloak. Princess Mana sat comfortably upon a plush velvet chaise lounge a few feet away, sipping a cup of warm spiced tea and completely failing to hide her immense, highly radiant amusement. King Jaren and Queen Dora stood near the massive arched windows overlooking the ocean, watching the fitting with fond, incredibly relaxed smiles.
