_______

Ten minutes later, I retreated into my tent, heaving a deep heavy sigh, shoulders slumping, tension leaving me.

I was extremely tense dealing with Regice and Regirock. Not out of fear or anything, but simply frustration and anger.

While I plan to help them, I've still got little more than hopes to help them and nothing concrete.

It really honestly did piss me off that two of my pokemon were in such a sad state despite their strength and legendary status. Who cared if I just caught them today? They're my fucking pokemon now.

If I could, I'd ask Celebi or Dialga to take me back in time so I could go beat the piss out of the King of Pokelantis.

As it was, between the catching of the two, introducing my new pokemon to our customary training methods and my anger over their state? I was exhausted.

My eyes landed on my large soft sleeping bag and giant pillows, where the slumbering form of Togepi snoozed away, Persian laying protectively beside the little tyke.

Persian opened an eye as I approached, collapsing on my side beside the great big cream furred cat with a tired huff, "I didn't expect them to be that bad you know?" I said mostly to myself as I rubbed my hand along his furry head, drawing a purr from the normal type, "I knew it wouldn't be great, but they don't even have any desires at all, hell they don't even understand what it means. I have no idea what to do." I admitted in but a whisper, not wanting to wake Togepi.

I had said as much, or thought as much at least earlier, and it wasn't going to stop me from trying, but I was just pathetically venting.

Like the big baby I was in body now, even if I'm mentally eighteen.

The best part about being de-aged to this physical age, is I could get away with some kiddy shit like whining like a baby like this.

"Mrow~" Persian purred, stretching out his legs, before rolling over and plopping his head in my lap and simply rubbing his head against my stomach.

My lips twitched a bit, relaxing a bit at the close contact, "Thanks mate." I whispered, wrapping my arms around his thick furry neck and lowering my head to press it against his, and just bask in his warm comfortable body.

Yeah…this was fine.

I'll probably rage over the state of the Regi's quite a few times in the coming days, but it'll fine.

I've got all my pokemon beside me after all.

With them by my side, I'm unstoppable.

I fell alseep not long later, hugging Persian. He was amazing like that. He may not have been my strongest, not by a long shot, but Persian had practically raised all my other Meowth himself.

He was reliable and warm.

____________

Lance stared blankly at the computer screen before him. He ran a hand down his face, massaging his temples as he closed his eyes and let out a deep breath.

Before opening them again, lips pursing as he nodded, "So I'm not seeing things at all." he said to himself simply.

On the screen, was the trainer profile of one Jord Odhar.

A now classified trainer profile that only the highest ranking of league officials and those with special permission could now look at freely outside of league tournaments Jord would participate in.

That was perhaps why it had taken until a little while ago for him to have been alerted to the newest additions to Jord Odhar's ever increasingly massive squad of monsters.

A whole flock of Fearow, and then a Tyranitar of all things. Just days after battling him, he went out and caught a Tyranitar of all things?

The absurdity of it was shocking. That made the third pseudo legendary pokemon the young prodigy had captured, even if he had given one away.

But no, it didn't end there, it got much crazier.

Because of course for Jord even catching a pseudo legendary Tyranitar wasn't enough.

No apparently the boy had captured two legendary pokemon!

'How!?' Lance resisted the urge to yell it and shake the computer screen atop his desk.

It just didn't make sense. How he came across all these rare and absurdly powerful pokemon.

One or two, three even or a small group he could see.

But…a Tyranitar, then Regice of all things, then Regirock a few hours later? Impossible.

If it was just one of the legendary golems and the Tyranitar, he might have been able to rationalize it, but Regirock, hours later, in a completely different location?

"He knows exactly where all these pokemon are." Lance nodded to himself, leaning back.

How though was the question. He'd checked his records, how could a boy registered as from Unova, missing parents listed as a father from Galar and mother from Unova, who grew up on the streets, who just arrived in Kanto a few months ago.

Know about all these rare and powerful pokemon?

'Not to mention the absurd speed of growth for his pokemon.' he threaded his fingers together as he stared at the image of Jord Odhar staring back at him, cocky grin on his face.

"Time travel?" he wondered idly. Could he have come across a Celebi perhaps?

But no that didn't make sense, Celebi physically travelled through time, they couldn't send someone back to their younger body….to his knowledge.

The only ones he could think of, at least as far as pokemon went, that could possibly have done such a thing was the legendary god of time itself, Dialga.

Which made it all the more unlikely.

'Not time travel.' he decided. That also didn't make sense, Jord was definitely a teenager. A cocky one for sure, and far more accomplished than was reasonable, but he was far too immature to be an adult who had seen all these pokemon in the future and come back.

What then? A psychic perhaps? One who could divine locations and such? They weren't exactly common, but they weren't rare either.

'No if he was a psychic he'd have used it in that viral video when his Gyarados attacked him.' he shook his head, it wouldn't make sense for him not to. He wasn't showing off for video, he was caught unaware and recorded without his knowledge when it happened.

Lance leaned back, resting his head at the head rest of his chair and stared up at the ceiling, "It doesn't matter how he knows, he just does…" he trailed off, and his lips quirked into an amused smirk, "Did losing rankle your feathers so much Jord? That you immediately went for a rock type pseudo legendary and then an ice type legendary?"

While the kid took the loss in stride and very gracefully - and why wouldn't he, the kid was amazing for his age even if he took it a little easy on him - he did seem the type that wouldn't be content with that.

So he could see him immediately going for a counter to defeat Lance, even if it was a little petty to go that far.

"What an amazing kid." he chuckled to himself, shaking his head as his blood began to rush in his veins as excitement began to build.

He already wanted to battle that kid again. After all, no doubt the boy was definitely going for Registeel next. How? Lance had no idea, but his instincts were telling him Jord would have Registeel as well soon.

And how amazing would it be to take them on?

'He's definitely going to win the Indigo Plateau this year, and with the way he's growing…he might actually make it all the way to me.' he thought, broad grin on his face.

He already couldn't wait.

Their rematch battle would be…legendary.

He stood up clenching his fists, grinning widely, "Time to go train some more." he decided, uncaring of the late hour.
