After getting his training schedule from captain Holt Ryan went home for the day
As he entered his penthouse he found he had visitors awaiting him by the door
His maid ,and 3 people in white coats
"and who are these people Lisa?"
One of the people stepped forward and shook his hand before she could arrive
" My pleasure Mr baker"
Before Ryan could ask the person who stepped forward who he was , he started looking his body up and down examining him
"He doesn't seem to have any outward injuries or deep scratches pass me the light I want to to check for a possible concussion"
"Lisa !! a little context would be nice here"
" Sir-Ryan , these gentlemen arrived and then MR Timothy called me , apparently they were on their way to the police station but when they called there they were informed you had already left for the day so they came here"
" I also think you should check your phone "
"Oh...why didn't he just phone me"
Ryan proceeded to check his phone and saw it
36 missed calls from Timothy and ...15 from Mom
" Oh ...oh that can't be good"
Lisa then stepped forward standing right next to the lead doctor
" I also saw you on the news Mr walker you looked great in police uniform "
Ryan couldn't even focus on that as he was too alarmed by the missed calls trying to figure out why he couldn't hear them
'when we entered that building.... damnit '
He looked at the three doctors in front of him
"Gentlemen I am fine, honestly , I didn't get hit by any bullet or person alrighty ,okay time to go I'll tell Timothy you gave me the full work up ...5 stars on yelp "
He stormed past the three gentleman entered the door grabbed Lisa and shut it behind him
" I am starving Lisa , I need food please hook me up with anything we have ready now then fry me up a steak or something"
Right away Ryan
Ryan proceeded to go to the living room couch and throw himself on it and looked at the two contacts
In a room two people sat at desks on opposite sides of the room
"I am so fired if anything happened to him "
"Relax Timothy we'd already know if he was dead"
"I advocated for them to get him the job!"

"You don't understand you haven't worked for them that long "
"Could you stop bringing that up "
" When he was twelve he wanted to learn to skate , his parents were against it but the nanny at the time convinced them it wasn't a such a bad i idea and he sprained his arm "

"Her family got deported !!!!!"
"That's not that bad"
"Her family's white and has been here since the 1800's"
"Shit.... that's actually pretty badass, is that even legal? "

The phone rang
"Oh thank god almighty it's him "
"Hey Timothy....so ..... how's thing's "
"I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO ANSWER THAT YOU ... UHGGG"
"Calm. Down jeez I'm totally fine not a scratch on me "
"Okay good , I can stay in the country atleast "
"Huh ? "
"Nothing, have you talked to your parents they've been worried "
" I'll talk to them now just wanted to put you at ease first, I'm assuming they called you alot too my phone was on silent"
"Yah ... something along those lines"
"Alright then you can chill now "
" So are you going to continue being a police officer ?"
"Oh most definitely today was fun bye."

Ended and silence returned to the room between the two assistants
"Didn't MR and Mrs Baker ask you to make sure he quits the job"
"Maybe he'll convince them to let him keep the job"
In a room lined with reinforced walls on each side a tall man in glasses was pacing up and down while a woman sat at a table staring at her phone
"We Shouldn't have let him take this cynth ,I mean being a cop ??? What where we thinking "
"We were giving him a chance to grow Ethan , he can't stay a child who does whatever we say forever, he's eighteen "
"College!!!! ...Mom, dad, hey get me into Harvard he could have asked that, heck if it would have been even easier for us to do god damnit , now he's out there ducking and diving from bullets"
"He's not dead nor did he need a hospital according to the commissioners office ..just calm down "
The phone the woman was holding Rang
" Hey....Mom ?"
"Why do you say mom like it's a question sweetheart "
"Yah I'm hear too son are you okay why did the doctors say ?"
"Dad? "
"Doctors Ryan!!!! what did they say "
"Uhm yah no they said I'm okay , sorry my phone was on silent so that's why I'm getting back to you guys so late"
" It's good that you're okay now tomorrow you're gonn-"
" We saw you on the news sweetheart we were so worried, it's good to hear you're okay, how was your first day and is there not something you should be saying to us"

Welter's was having dinner with his wife when he suddenly choked on some food

Ethan almost tripped and fell over when he heard this
He jumped for the phone in his wife's hands
"You are going to go -"a face palm met his face as he was pushed away
" That's great honey I hope you have a great day tomorrow hopefully not as eventful as today though "
" I have to do remedial training for the next six months apparently.... Your juice wasn't enough juice to make me skip it"
" That's great then sweetheart stay safe okay We're still at a critical juncture here at work so we won't be coming back to New York until next year"
"That's fine have a great day I'll try to call often"
"We will too , oh and make friends alrighty sweetheart"

The phone clicked and the man and woman where left alone
"Your mean, you know that? " Ethan said as he rubbed his face
" Your dense ,you know that , can't you see he doesn't seem as depressed anymore... After just one day , he seems like a new person"
"I guess "

"Me too , but that wasn't helping him now was it , maybe in some way this will"
