In Wankai City, it seemed like the entire populace had flooded out of their homes, crowding the streets and alleyways.
Ji Pianpian's marriage competition platform was set up in front of the city's central altar, as if invoking the protection of the heavens and the blessings of the ancestors.
"My old man, for this marriage competition, sent out notices to every state over three months ago. And that's not all; he also posted notices among the tribe of Floating Guests to ensure that every city saw news of Pianpian's competition," Ji Yaohua lamented to Mu Qingge and Ying Ze, who were accompanying him.
"How is this competition supposed to work?" Mu Qingge asked.
Ji Yaohua explained, "Originally, the old man's idea was to have three rounds. The first round is a martial arts test, where anyone who defeats Pianpian can advance. The second round is a test of wit and strategy. The third round is a meeting where Pianpian will choose her ideal husband from the finalists."
