XAVIER'S POV;
Starting my search in the cabinets I manage to find some herbs needed to perform the spell. Setting the items on the table I grab a knife along with six candles and start carving out the spell. Discarding the pieces that were cut off I find a bag to put everything in, including the newly cleaned knife along with a second one. Now all I have to do is wait for his dumbass to come back.
CONNOR'S POV ;
Kicking down the vent I turn to look at the guys. " Ok, you guys can stay in here, no one's allowed to enter except for me, but just try not to fight and make a lot of noise. " Jacob's stomach starts growling causing me and tucker to stare at him. Shifting from one leg to another he laughs nervously " would there be any snacks in here? " Jacob says making his way into the room. " You're really thinking about food at a time like this? " Tucker reply's pushing Jacob out of the way causing him to fall into the weapon room.
" Can all of you guys please shut up. Connor, we don't have much time left just give me the directions for the other exit and I'll wait for the all clear to enter the dungeon." Xavier says clearly frustrated. Closing the vent back up, I roll my eyes at the two idiots already arguing about who gets the bigger couch. " Alright Xavier, can you hear me? " Waiting for a quick reply, once he does, I start giving him instructions. " On the opposite side of where we came in there's a row of cabinets do you see them? " I ask while picking up my pace " Yeah I can see them give me one second I have to turn off the timer, Okay, what now? "
After explaining the directions to Xavier for the fifth time along with him getting lost, he finally manages to find the entrance in the dungeon. " Just to let you guys know I'm heading through my office, so I won't be able to respond for a second." Climbing through I close the entrance and make my way to the dungeons. Heading inside, I motion for the guards to follow me. Closing the door, I gather the rest of the men and walk with them out of hearing range of the prisoner. " I need all of you to take shifts patrolling the perimeter to ensure no other attacks will happen right now. We can't allow anyone a second chance to harm anyone located in this kingdom. Notify all the guards that are currently on patrol and keep it quiet, the dungeon isn't a high priority right now. Does everyone understand these orders? " The guards give me a quick response before heading out to inform the others. Yes, I didn't tell them the entire reason but, the perimeter is the main priority not some doctor stuck in the old days. " Xavier, the dungeon is clear, do what you have to. Find out what they did to that dam bullet. "
Anger and revenge take over every ounce in my body and it's the only thing keeping me going ever since the incident. Picking up my pace I make my way to the hospital. " I'm going to check on Sophia, I'll keep you guys updated." Taking out my earpiece, I turn it off determined to do whatever it takes to help so-so. Looking at her pale face drenched in sweat through the door window tears start to pour out of my eyes. Gripping the door handle I almost open it when the new assigned doctor runs up to me and place a hand on my shoulder. " King, I understand that she's your mate, but you cannot enter the room. We have to hold her abdomen open to stop the healing process for the time being. She wasn't healing as fast as we wanted but when the process slowly started, we discovered that whatever the bullet was laced with is still located in her abdomen, so when the wound started to close her heartrate and blood pressure dropped significantly. We are doing everything that we can, and I will keep you updated, but I also have to be honest, she might not make it.
XAVIER'S POV ;
Walking down the long dark hallway I pass dozens of empty cages. The smell of blood drenching the air and becomes stronger the closer I get. Approaching a brightly light cell I can hear the manic laughing. " Aww look who it is, let me guess you're one of the mates right, such a shame you won't have one in a couple of hours." With a flick of my finger, I unlock the cage door and make my way inside. " Do you really think mocking the situation that you caused is a good idea given the position that you're in? " I say closing the door keeping eye contact with him. " Allow me to clear up any confusion you might have and explain the situation that you've caused." Opening the bag containing all the items I need for my spell, I make my way to the right front corner of the cell placing a candle and lighting it. " One, you fucked with something the goddess herself created." Keeping a calm exterior, I head to the back right corner setting down another candle. " Two, you disrespected and caused a riot against the king of your realm." Picking up my pace I head to another corner repeating the same actions. " Three, the women you attempted to kill has a mate from every powerful realm known in the supernatural world." Heading to the last corner and setting down the final candle, I stand directly in front of this piece of shit chained to the wall. " And finally, four if you think the vampire king and his soldiers tortured you, consider that a warmup for what's about to come."
Pulling out the herbs I throw most of them into the air making a circle around the both of us. Stepping closer to him I grab a knife and slice deep into his chest rubbing the remaining herbs into the large gash before stepping back and watching it close. He starts laughing hysterically " Is this what you call torture! you're pathetic." He says spitting in my direction but missing. Taking out the second knife I slice open my hand dripping blood along the circle of herbs. Grabbing the remaining two candles, I wipe my blood on one of them, and then wiped his blood on the other. lighting the remaining candles, I finally allow my anger to be seen. " You will tell me how to save my mate. Just to let you know this spell doesn't only affect you, it affects your entire bloodline, and everyone connected to you including your mate. Are you ready? because I am. "
