The elder man outside stopped Ryuchen immediately as he was about to enter the emergency room.
"Let me go!" he said angrily. "I want to see my wife!"
"Calm down, Sir." Ryuchen recognized his voice, he was the man he talked to on Chloe's phone. "Your wife is currently being treated."
Ryuchen sat on a chair near the door of the emergency room.
His palms caught his face, he prayed that his wife would be fine and that nothing bad will happen to her.
He can no longer live without Chloe.
He wishes he was the one in her situation, he wishes he was the one who had hit and not her. His wife doesn't deserve to suffer and be hurt in that lifetime.
The man who brought Chloe to the hospital said he will leave because he still has work. He thanked the man and gave him his personal business card which made the man jaw drop, he said to call that number anytime if he needs any help. That is his reward for bringing his wife immediately to the hospital.
After four hours of waiting, Ryuchen immediately approached the doctor who came out from inside the emergency room.
"How's my wife?" he asked worriedly.
"As of now, her vital sign are stable but I still can't say if your wife is in good condition unless she wakes up. Her condition is still critical because your wife's body is very weak to begin with, a lot of blood has been lost to her and her vital sign is suddenly falling at a time. She also had some minor injuries in her head and organ." the doctor explained. "She's in a coma right now and we don't know yet when she will wake up. We still need to observe her from time to time."
"Please do all the things that you can to save my wife."
"Don't worry, Sir." he said. "We will do our best."

On Chloe's first day at the hospital, Ryuchen wiped his wife's body to clean it and was surprise when he noticed the three light scars on her body. One on her shoulder, her chest and stomach which he failed to notice when they make love before.
The scars was light but it is still visible that the wound came from a gunshot wound.
Ryuchen's heart sting, his chest heaved as he suddenly remembered his escape from the kidnappers when he was a kid.
"Ryu...chen." he heard someone say. "Ryuchen, let's get out of here."
When he open his eyes, he saw Chloe who was trembling but refused to cry. Her eyes were red, probably from holding back her tears. Her hair was also messy, her face was full of dust and dirt but she didn't seem to care.
He couldn't help but smile, she wasn't like that. She was a crybaby who cries at everything and she made sure that she always look presentable all the time.
Chloe suddenly carried him, and even though he almost lost consciousness, he couldn't help but be surprised that she was able to carry him with her small body.
She keeps talking, promising that they would survive and get out of that place as she ran through the middle of the forest while carrying him. Using the strength he still had left, all he could do was to lighten his body while she was carrying him.
"We are... almost out of here, Ryuchen." he heard Chloe said, breathless. "You are... safe.. now."
The last thing he remembers was, his body fell to the ground. His vision immediately went blank as he felt the pain throughout his body, he also heard a loud scream from an angry man, gunshots and the sound of a police siren before he lost consciousness.
Ryuchen cried all night while praying for his wife to wake up.
He remembered everything now, how Chloe rescued him. How she risked her life to save him from the kidnappers back then.
It hurts.
It hurts to know that he was the reason why Chloe was in a coma back then, that she has to struggled for so long because of him.
Chloe saved his f*cking life, but what did he do? And he was the one who has the nerve to get mad and make the life of the person who thinks nothing but his safety miserable.
He owes his life to Chloe, and he needs to make it up for all the suffering she has experienced in this timeline and in their previous lives.

It has been three days since Chloe had an accident, but to this day she still does not wake up. The doctor said she had passed the critical stage and was just waiting for her to wake up.
"Mr. Ajero..." Ryuchen heard Robin say when the VIP room door opened. "I brought your clothes and... I also have food for you."
"Just put it there." he said, lifeless. "You may go."
Ryuchen doesn't want to take his eyes off to his wife even just for a second. He has not left her side for three days and he does not want to pass every second without seeing her. He felt that by the time he left her side again, he would immediately lose her. He also wishes he was the first person she would see when she wakes up.
"Please, wake up my wife, I'm waiting for you. I can't afford to lose you again. You made my life complete so you have no right to leave me now." Ryuchen said to her while kissing her hand.
Ryuchen heard the door of the VIP room open once again, but he did not look. He thought Robin just came out.
But he was shocked when a mysterious hand hit him hard on the back of his head. Ryuchen was ready to shout at anyone who dared to do that to him, but was surprised when he saw his grandmother.
She looks very angry.
"G-Grandma!"
Ryuchen was surprised to see Grandma Ciana.
He didn't told anyone about what happened to his wife because he didn't want them to worry and he also wants to take care of his wife alone.
Ryuchen face darkened, he looked sharply to Robin who immediately avoided his gaze. He knew he couldn't bear not to tell what happened to his grandmother.
"What did you do to my granddaughter?!" Grandma Ciana said angrily to him as she hit him on the chest.
"Grandma, I am your grandson." Ryuchen said to her.
"I don't know you, stupid brat! Look at you! Do you think Chloe will be happy to see her husband's face when she wakes up? Maybe she prefers not to wake up when she sees you." she said then pushed Ryuchen away from the bed.
She approached Chloe then held her hand.
"Chloe my dear, Grandma is here. Wake up now."
Ryuchen just gasped, holding his forehead while shaking his head.
He knows how his grandmother feels, so he will let her take care of his wife for now. They are both sad and miserable for what happened to his wife.
He took the clothes that Robin brought for him and went straight to the bathroom inside the VIP room. He was shocked to see himself from the mirror, his mustache and beard are starting to grow and there are also black bags under his eyes.
Ryuchen rubbed his face, even though his grandmother was a trash talker, she was just telling the truth. If his wife sees him at that moment, she might be afraid of him.
After Ryuchen took a bath and ate, he invited Robin out of the VIP room to talk outside.
"How is your investigation?" he asked seriously.
"Mr. Ajero, we found the owner of the car that hit Madam, but he was not the suspect. We watched the video of how his car was stolen the night before the day Madam accident. But we already determined the man who stole the car, his name is Robert Bautista. We are looking for his whereabouts. "
"Find him as soon as possible." he said. "I want to know why he did that to my wife."
"Yes, Mr. Ajero." then he left.
Ryuchen entered Chloe's room again and saw Grandma Ciana is still busy talking to the sleeping Chloe. He did not bother her and he just sat on the sofa first then he made himself busy with the documents that his signature needed. He still cannot leave a lot of work to his assistant.
It was night when Grandma Ciana decided to go home and told him to take a rest because his wife would not be happy when she woke up and see him in that situation. So that's what he did, he lay down on Chloe's bed and hugged her.
"Chloe, my wife..." Ryuchen whispered to her. "Do you really want to leave me that's why you don't want to wake up? Do you want me to be miserable so you're doing this to me?" he kissed her forehead, then her eyes and lips. "You can hurt me, you can do whatever you want with me as long as you wake up, Chloe... I love you so much. Please, wake up."
