That's really not funny," she murmured, quickly snatching her designer sling bag off the velvet cushions to hide her sudden fluster. "I have zero interest in a relationship right now. Besides, there's already this... persistent guy who's trying to pursue me, but I am absolutely certain he'll throw in the towel after two months."
Thomas arched a skeptical brow, watching her adjust her bag. "And why exactly are you capping his timeline at two months, Jill?" For a man who had loved deeply and unconditionally, the concept of quantifying romance with a calendar seemed entirely alien.
