"Stop!" She exclaimed.
The creature slipped into the room with the heavy doors, its otherworldly body vanishing through the polished wood like a ghost. The servants gasped in shock as she pushed through their trickling crowds, the gaslit lamps in their hands flickering in confusion.
"Damn it!" She cursed as she paused in front of the locked room.
It would be too risky to use her magic in front of a corridor full of humans- especially after the fiasco with Aaron. Not that she cared about anyone's opinion, but with so little time at her hands, she dared not cause another episode that delayed her plans.
"Open the door if you want to live!" She shouted, banging the door with clenched fists.
