Monet met Arthur about four years ago. Monet has lived a hard life since she was a child because her parents died. She does whatever it takes to ensure her life and the only family member she has, Sugar. But all that had passed away like a nightmare dream after she met Arthur.
Monet knew that all this happened because she did not have the strength to choose another path. She began training her body and skill using the devil fruit given by Arthur, Swap-Swap Fruit. If only counted the length of time she started training, Monet would lose to Kuina and be equal to her sister, Sugar. But she chose to train harder than anyone else, even harder than Arthur's training.
Monet: "Sugar, show me that you haven't been lazing around in training so far. And Kuina, don't hold back, show me everything you've got since training under Arthur. " Monet spoke firmly while continuing to bring out many small knives that [Mark] had given and throw them around them.
Kuina: "Yoroshiku Onegaisimas!" Kuina pulled the Dojigiri out of the sheath then bowed slightly and said a greeting to show that she was ready.
Sugar: "Hehe, I hope Nessan doesn't get rusty while living comfortably at Mary Geoise because I never stop training." Sugar changed her form to a Zoan hybrid and took the rifle on her back.
Kuina: "Sugar, we do as usual." Kuina took a stance with Dojigiri held tightly in both hands and glanced left and right trying to remember the position of all of Monet's [Mark].
Sugar: "Ehm!" Sugar nodded and started walking backward in the air getting higher and higher with her rifle aiming at her target, Monet.
Monet: "I also want to try the Mythical Zoan devil fruit that I just got." Monet turned into a nine-tailed fox woman with a pair of knives in both hands.
Kuina: "[Ittoryu: Crimson Cressent]"

Kuina started the fight using her Flying Slash Attack and Sugar also fired her rifle at Monet's estimation of dodging. But before the two launched their attacks, Monet had already stepped in another direction so that both of their attacks missed. Monet was able to easily dodge Kuina's attacks because of her Kenbunshoku Haki which was awakened during her time at Mary Geoise.
With the prohibition of training his body from Maria, Monet can only meditate to train her range of sensing [Mark] to increase the distance to swap places. Luckily, she managed to get close to Arthur's expectations and was allowed to get her second devil fruit, Dog-Dog Fruit Model: Nine-Tailed Fox. In her training, Monet also managed to increase her Kenbunshoku Haki to a level of intent sensing which is useful for predicting her opponent's attack.
Sugar + Kuina: "Kenbunshoku Haki!" Both of them are shocked and sad that this fight will be difficult.
Sugar: "Nessan! When did you manage to have it? "
Monet: "It wouldn't be bad to sit still for the last six months, hehehe. Now it's my turn." Monet threw the knife at Sugar who was standing in the air and disappeared from in front of Kuina.
Kuina: "Sugar, be careful!" Kuina gave her warning to Sugar even though Sugar herself already knew about it.

Sugar can avoid Monet's fatal attack but because Monet slightly changes the direction of the slash, she manages to give Sugar's arm a wound, although it's not severe. Sugar again widened her distance with Monet and Kuina used [Soru] to attack Monet who had landed on the ground.
Unfortunately, Kuina almost slipped because the place they were fighting was not an ordinary island but a chunk of ice that Arthur had created. Even though Kuina didn't fall, her face flushed with embarrassment from her carelessness. Whereas Arthur and the others saw Kuina's behavior by shaking their head.
Arthur: "I didn't expect that the one who was careless with their footing wasn't Bepo, but Kuina."

Sugar, who couldn't do anything remotely with her rifle, ended up fighting at close range using two handguns. Close combat with a gun is a new technique that Arthur taught Sugar while at Mary Geoise. Sugar's bullets will be more dangerous at close range because they are more difficult to avoid and Sugar's body is also trained plus her Mythical Zoan.
Kuina also keeps Monet busy who won't move far because Sugar is also involved in close combat making this fight easier for Kuina than before. In sword fighting techniques, Kuina is far superior to Monet, but Monet does not back down. This is what Monet wanted to practice her technique.
